Shane could hear Paris' footsteps behind him, with a smirk on his face he walked slowly to the elevator .. Pressing the button he felt Paris pull his shirt .. Turning around he looked down at her tear stained face ..

"Shane, leave my kids out of this !!" She said calmly

"Your kids ? Paris last time I checked they mine too .." He said

Sighing she put her hands on her hips, "You're never home, you're always busy, everything about them I take care of !! Be honest, you just doing this to get me to come home !!" She replied staring him in the eyes

Smirking, Shane licked his lips "I told you I'll be retiring soon once this shit in Cali is done .. I'll be home all the time then ..I ain't saying I'm taking them from you !! You want this divorce, not me !! You can get them on the weekends or some shit .." Hearing the elevator go off Shane turned around and stepped on ..

Following him Paris got on too, watching as Shane pressed the button avoiding eye contact with her .. With a smirk glued to his face he knew she was thinking about what he had said as they neared the ground floor ..

As soon as the elevator stopped she headed for the doors but Shane pulled her back by the waist ..

"Just come home, and we can straighten all this out !!" He whispered in her ear from behind

Turning around, Paris came face to face with him and looked him in his eyes ..

"You're not getting them .. period !! I'll see you in court Mr.Carter !!" She said as Shane smiled ..

Turning back around she walked on out of the hotel followed by Shane ..

Once in the back of the car Jessica had sent for her Paris took her phone out .. Giving the driver the address to where she was going she dialed Kelsey's number, she was so mad she was shaking !!

"Hello" Kelsey answered on the second ring

"Shane is threatening to take the kids if I divorce him !!" She blurted out

Shaking her head Kelsey smiled "He's just trying to intimidate you into not going through with it !! He wouldn't do that !!" She said

Looking out the window of the town car Paris bit her lip nervously "I don't know !!" Paris responded

"Call his bluff and watch how he folds !! Girl Shane is manipulating you .. that's what they do best, don't act like you don't know Paris !! This is how they get what they want .. it's all about power .. Don't get me wrong, me and you both know Shane loves his kids but he can't do what you do .. he wants you and he's using them to get you .. I love my bro but don't fall for it .." Kelsey responded

"I think you're right .. " She responded

"I know I'm right, just watch !! Where are you ?" She asked

"On my way to Justine's" Paris replied in deep thought

"Well .. call me once you make it home !!" She said

"Alright" Ending the call Paris sighed, taking in the scenery from outside as she thought about everything her and Shane had been through ..

Weighing her options she could honestly say the good out weighed the bad but with the extremity of the bad she didn't know if she was going to be able to ignore it this time ..

In such deep thought she hadn't even noticed that they were pulling into her mother in law's front lawn ..

Getting out of the car Paris made her way to the front door, knowing her mother in law was up, and knowing that her father in law was just as paranoid as Shane she knew one of them already knew she was there ..

Not even touching the front door, Paris watched as it swung open and was greeted with the warm smile of her father in law Shamar SR.

"Hey you !!" She smiled as she accepted his invitation into a tight hug

"What you doing here this late girl ?" He asked in a thick southern accent ..

He wasn't from Florida, but from Tennessee and you could hear it through every syllable he spoke ..

Laughing, Paris walked inside "I need Justine !!" She replied looking around for her

"Shane ?" He asked already knowing the answer to his question

Nodding, Paris said yes ..

Wrapping his arm around her shoulder he guided her into the kitchen "How about you talk to me first !!" He said with a smile

Sitting down at the kitchen table Paris eyed Shamar as he sat down across from her ..

"I've been here before, I know what he's thinking .. Even though he hates it and will deny it with his life he's just how I used to be .. him and Shamar needs to switch names because he's more like me than him !!" He said as Paris sat quietly

"So what's the problem ?" He asked

"Well, on top of all this divorce and stuff now he's threatening to take custody of the kids and give me visitation !!" She said staring at her hands ..

"He won't do that, that's just a scare tactic .. that's it !!" Shamar replied

"That's what Kelsey said !!" Paris said

"And it's the truth, Shane wouldn't last 72 hours with those kids alone .. Let alone have custody of them !! He's trying to scare you !!" He said

"Well it's working !!" Paris shrugged

"Do what you gotta do Paris, your good for my son .. but you need to teach his stubborn ass a lesson !! Separate, divorce .. whatever you wanna do do it !! It worked on me !!" He said

Going inside of the courthouse Shane followed close behind Paris as security escorted her in.. Staring at her backside he wore a mug on his face, frustrated, & tired from traveling back and forth from Miami to Cali his mood wasn't in the best place ..

"It would've been a lot better if you were in California right now !! You know what I got going on so why the fuck you pushing this shit so hard ?" He asked

Stopping to turn around Paris sighed "You cheated, not me !!" She replied

"I get that, but why you can't wait ?" He asked

"Because I'm ready to get this over with !!" Paris replied looking up at him

Sticking his hands in his pockets Shane looked around making sure no one was listening ..

"I'm not giving you no damn divorce !!" He said

"We'll see about that !!" Paris smiled as she turned to walk away ..
