Everything was fast. Once you had freed Toby from the rope, you were suddenly grabbed by the wrist and pulled to your window, where Toby roughly opened it and removed the screen, slightly bending the edges. You lived on the second floor so the jump wasn't too high but your heart raced knowing Toby was asking you to jump out. What if you break a bone or sprain your ankle?
Toby could tell you were panicking in your mind, it was clear on your face but the banging was starting to turn into cracking. The door wasn't going to hold any longer and Toby knew they would show no mercy when they got ahold of you. Your heart almost stopped when you were suddenly picked up and held tightly by Toby (bridal style) you didn't even bother to protest or question his actions, you just didn't want whoever those people were to get you.
The moment your bedroom door was kicked open, Toby placed his goggles, looking back and giving the other two killers a smirk as he jumped out the window, with you tightly holding onto him. You dug your face into his neck out of fear. Toby had made a perfect land, you figured this probably wasn't the first time he had to jump out of a window. Toby groaned a bit, feeling that horrible tingling sensation, the one where if you jump off of something high and pain would tingle around your heel and feet. Despite the pain, Toby shook it off.
You were placed back down and taken by your wrist, he began running with you into the woods. You glanced back seeing the two masked figure stare. You may have not have seen their faces but you could tell that those two weren't too happy with Toby's escape. The running was filled with heavy breathing and the sound of old leaves, twigs and dirt crunching under your feet. The air was freezing and you were confused to where Toby was taking you. You had thought about stopping and asking what the hell was going on but you knew now wasn't the time or place.
The running almost felt endless, your arm was beginning to hurt from all the tugging. You weren't exactly the greatest at running and Toby seemed to have a lot of experience from running away. An old black and grey shed came into sight, you felt a bit of fear arise within you as you silently prayed this man wasn't going to kill you. Toby was a killer after. Wait, could this be where he takes his victims? Are you his next victim?? Is he going to kill you when you get in there!?
Out of instinct you aggressively pulled your arm away. You had both came to a stop. You were out of breath, your throat felt so dry and sore. In the back of your mind you hoped you weren't going to get sick. Toby (who was also breathing heavily) had gave you a confused look, his goggles still covering his eyes. He left his mouth guard around his neck. You still couldn't get used to his outfit, you were so used to seeing him in daily clothing...
"W-What?" Toby asked in between breaths. You held onto your wrist feeling that it might bruise later.
"I-I'm not going in there!" You stated with a nervous look. Toby glanced at the shed then back at you realizing how things had seemed.
"(Y-Y/n), how many times do I-I have to repeat m-myself? I'm not going to kill you."
You knew he was telling the truth, he didn't stutter the most important part. It made you a bit relieved but the fact that he was a killer unnerved you. It had only been silent for a moment when you finally decide to ask who those men were. When you had asked that, Toby seemed to be ashamed to tell you, his eyes straying away from yours.
"T-They're old friends of mine. . . W-We used to w-work together." He briefly said. "Work? As in. . ." you didn't want to say it but Toby nodded to confirm what you were about to say. You frowned. "You three w-would... Kill? How is that a job!?" You let some of your anger slip out, you couldn't help it how could they kill people? How could they just choose to take away someone's life? You found it revolting.
Toby let out a sigh "We didn't always k-kill innocent p-people. We just k-killed whoever our b-boss told us t-to." You shook your head, not fully understanding what kind of job this was.
Toby realized he needed to explain the whole story for you to understand who he was and why he did what he did. Toby felt a bit weird but he decided to finally say who he was.
"I-I'm a proxy. I work for a p-powerful being. w-who isn't human." Toby had suddenly lifted up his striped sleeve, showing off an X'd circle on his wrist. It looked like someone had grabbed a knife and carved it on. It was all scar now but it still looked deep. You continued to listen. "I-I was chosen b-by my master t-to s-serve him."
"By choice?" You asked. Toby crossed his armd feeling a bit exposed about himself, he's never talked about this before.
"N-No. . . N-None of us were chosen by c-choice."
"Us? As in those two?" Toby shrugged in a "sorta" response.
"T-There are more of t-them. We all live to s-serve our m-master. We do what h-he can't" Toby explained. The more this man spoke the more questions you had, not to mention how confused you were. Who was his master? Toby had said his "master" wasn't human so what the hell was his boss? You began rubbing your head, trying to wrap your head around this. "So wait. You're a proxy who kills for some guy and you work with a bunch of other killers? Where do you guys even live??" You asked. It was a bit of a stupid and sort of off topic question but you were actually curious.
"In a m-mansion." You raised a brow feeling a bit skeptical with that reply. The idea of a bunch of serial killers living in a mansion together sounded a bit far fetched. "Riight... And why are you running away?" You questioned. Toby groaned "Like I said before! I w-want a n-new life, I'm t-tired of being a k-killer. I'm... I'm tired of being a pawn." He quietly explained. Thank God you couldn't Toby's eyes, otherwise you'd see the tears he had in his eyes.
Before the conversation could move along you had suddenly thought of something "Well, now I know why they're trying to get you but why are they trying to get me?" You asked. Toby looked up at you wondering the same thing. Now that they've found him they'll leave you alone, right?
"I-I don't k-know. You s-shouldn't worry they've found me s-so you're useless t-to them now"
Ouch. That was kinda rude. You let out a sigh "We should part ways." That sentence of yours had suddenly made Toby's heart stop. "P-Part w-ways?" He trembled. "Yeah, I don't want to be killed so we should just pretend like we never met. I like you so I'm not going to report you." You said. Toby felt another new feeling, a feeling that he couldn't quite describe, a feeling that made him suddenly want to grab you and hold you so tightly that you would never leave. You had began looking around the woods, trying to figure out where the hell you even were. The thought of you being gone started to weigh on Toby. You can't leave, he barely got to know you! It had only been a month since he first met you, he needed to spend more time with you!
Toby unconsciously reached out for you, his inner demons telling him he should lock you up in his shed and never let you go. His gloved hand trembled but he snapped back into reality when a branch was suddenly broken. You both froze in place quickly looking around in fear. It might have been an animal. Toby had came to the conclusion that maybe parting ways was a good idea.
"You need to go somewhere s-safe. Where should I take you?" Toby asked a bit through gritted teeth. You were quick to answer "I want to go see Nate and Effie, they don't live too far." You said, pointing in the direction their house was in. Toby felt his heart tug in disappointment but he had to do what would keep you safe.

Toby had brought you into the sight of Effie's house. You wasted no time running up to the door and knocking. When you had done so you turned around to thank Toby for bringing you but he had disappeared out of sight. The door had opened and Nate was the one to answer. When he had opened the door you jumped onto him hugging him tightly. Nate was a bit startled to suddenly be pulled into a hug. When you pulled away you had made up a lie that someone had broken into your home and trashed it. After hearing that Nate was quick to report it to the police. You had decided not to tell your friends about the situation you had went through with Toby. You figured after this you were never going to see him again. You were still upset with him but the idea of him being gone made you slightly sad. Why couldn't he have been normal? Later after the report, Effie and Nate had agreed you could stay in their house for awhile, they were also afraid that you would be robbed again. Hours had past and again there was no sign of Toby. You questioned yourself, wondering why you were even thinking about him. He had been your friend so maybe you were just sad that you had lost him as one... Effie and Nate leaving for the night also didn't comfort you, you were lonely but you took this time to clear your mind.

The night was another cold one. Toby lazily walked through the wood wondering if parting ways was a good idea. He knew it was but it just made his heart hurt so much. It hurt so much that it almost felt like Toby was going to cry... Why did it hurt? As Toby thought of many reasons, it all had jumped back to you. Maybe after he resolves his problems he should go and visit you again! But, do you want to see him again? It was your idea to part ways so maybe you didn't want to see him.
.Noise was made.
The sound of two men approaching was loud. Toby pulled out his two hatchets knowing he was no longer alone.
"It's time to go home, Toby."
The voice was instantly recognized by Toby. Masky had been brought into view, his mask covering his emotions. "I-I'm not going back!" Toby angrily barked. The sound of Hoodie approaching from behind was heard, the cracking of leaves gave it away. A sigh could be heard from Masky's covered face. "Why are you doing this? You know you're only making it harder on yourself." He said. Toby frowned but kept his guard up, unsure if either would attack.
"I'm tired of b-being a pawn! I want to be free to have a normal life! I want to choose my own destiny! A-Aren't you guys tired of being controlled?" Toby asked. He was a bit surprised to hear both of his friends laugh, they seemed to find what he said amusing. They both began circling Toby at a slow pace, almost in a taunting manner.
"Toby, monsters like us don't get to 'choose' whether we have a normal life or not." Masky chuckled. Hoodie spoke with a deep and monotone voice "And demons like us don't just decide whether we get to go to heaven or not." Masky nodded in agreement. Toby's eyes followed them.
"Not to mention you found a sweet girl to play with." Toby felt his skin crawl "She's cute but your disgusting for ever thinking you could have a normal life." Masky spoke, knowing he was getting under Toby's skin. Masky stopped in front of him, only a few feet away.
"Don't you get it? You were damned the very day our master chose you as his pawn-!"
With those words, Masky had lunged at Toby with knife at hand. Toby swiftly dodged, quickly stepping backwards as Masky swung a sharp pocket knife around. Each swing from the knife failing to hit Toby. Luck quickly ran out when Hoodie had tripped him from behind. Toby fell onto the floor, his eyes widened when he saw Hoodie with a bat over his head ready to hit Toby. The killer rolled backwards swiftly stumbling back onto his feet. The two men held their weapons in hand as the approached him with a murderous vibe.
"What? Did you guys lose your guns-?"
Toby began to skillfully swing his hatchet at them but they were all too fast for each other. The fight had seemed pointless at this time, no one was landing hits. That is until blood had spilled. Toby was unsure who he hit. But then he realized the warm liquid was dripping down his arm. His vision began to shake and his body trembled. He had been stabbed in the arm. Hoodie suddenly kicked him with full force sending Toby flying backwards, harshly hitting the ground. Toby held onto his arm trying to stop the blood. It didn't hurt him, Toby just knew losing too much blood could indeed kill him. Toby was about to get back up that is until Hoodie stomped on his ribs forcing him back onto the ground. Masky soon came into Toby's sight, he crouched down and harshly grabbed Toby's face to look at him. His mask was then removed showing off Masky's merciful face.
"I won't kill you, Toby. But I am going to beat the shit out of you as a warning. Either you come back or we send the other's to come after you."
Toby spat onto Masky's face, he groaned in disgust. Toby hysterically laughed, finding that it would get under their skins. Masky sighed soon getting back up, giving a nod to Hoodie. They knew Toby couldn't feel pain but what they did know was that if they hit Toby hard enough it would inflict injuries that would take weeks to heal. Hoodie pressed harder onto Toby's ribs, he gasped out for air.
"Oh and as punishment we'll be paying a visit to that sweet girl you like so much."

The night had felt so long. You lied on the couch where you were switching through random channels, trying to find something good to watch. Sadly though, your mind was still racing from the events that had happened hours ago. With Nate and Effie out partying you had no one too keep you company. Well, except for your cat Gris. Prior to your two friends leaving you had asked them to bring Gris for you which they had gladly did. You were happy your cat was even alive, you hsd been so afraid those two men would have done something horrible. Your cat sat on your blanket, covered lap. You stroked his grey fur knowing Gris was only trying to comfort you.

You felt a horrible white wash of fear go through your face. Your heart raced as you looked over at the houses door. Who else would be knocking so loudly like that? You flinched when another three loud bangs were heard. You gulped as you stood up from the couch letting the blankets fall onto the floor. Apparently you didn't learn the first time and began walking to the door, preparing for what you were going to see.
You looked through the peephole and gasped when you saw someone lying on the porch. You wasted no time to unlock the door swinging it open only to reveal Toby leaning in the door, falling forward when you had opened it. You fell to your knees seeing nothing but blood and bruises on Toby.
"Toby!?" You called out in confusion. He forced himself to lift up his head but his body was too weak. His eyes grew heavy as you held him in your arms, he could have sworn you looked like an angel before he had fainted onto you. . . .
