This is it folks... well sorta but I'll keep yall posted.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

                                                  Jake

Charles and Marcus decided to build a fort of cushions from my couch in the living room. Jimmy and Nikko thought it was hilarious and started using some sheets to complete the job. Danny was too mature for them as he continued trying to prepare a lunch for everybody. Even his mom and my Grandmother were in the kitchen.

Typical me, joined in on the fort making sure they had everything held up right. Only once when Marcus stood up inside, took the sheet with him causing the fort to crash. We rebuilt it together in giggles and jokes making it look crappier but held better.

Autumn walked in the front door like she owned the place.

“Hey my cousin lives here now so I pretty much own the place,” was what she said and greeting everyone in the kitchen.

‘It was too bad we couldn’t use a flashlight because it was still daylight,’ I thought.

The food started to smell good and I knew it was my Grandmother’s doing.

Autumn on the other hand was standing just outside our fort which Jimmy set a sign out front:

No Girls Allowed, unless you’re cool like Jake.

Charles was telling another hilarious story about what prank his brothers pulled on the neighbors which had us all in hysterical laughter.

“What are you guys doing?” and from the way she said it, I just knew she had her hands on her hips.

For a just a moment no one had anything witty to say and we got quiet.

“Touching each other,” came from Charles.

And once again bring us all to tears.

“Yeah, ha-ha, very hot to see I’m sure,” and I could hear her rolling her eye’s at us. “I just don’t see what my cousin see’s in you Jake. I know you’re in there because I can hear you laughing at me still. Anyways the food is ready-”

That did it as everyone started shoving each other out of the way. You’d think none of us have eaten in months. I don’t know who but someone caused the entire fort to crash again. More laughter. More jokes. More scrambling.

Heather showed up with her father and Lillian wasn’t that far behind. Even Daniel, though it had been two weeks since I last saw him, showed up with…

Could I believe it?

Well why not?

Francis gulped when she saw all us hunky guys looking at her. She looked a lot better out of her work clothes. There was also something slightly different about her.

Two full plates of pasta later I was standing by the counter listening to all my friends, family, lover and his family talk to each other the same time. I guess my people would get along just fine with Danny’s people.

“Come on dude I’m starving!” Marcus shouted behind me.

“Better step aside and let him get his seventh helping before he eats the table,” I heard Autumn say.

With a smaller portion my plate I stepped out of his way and into the corner of the kitchen to watch everyone. It felt nice seeing a house full of people. Judging by the look on Danny’s mom, she could relate. We smiled at each other and she went back to whatever it was my Grandmother was saying to her.

I felt Danny join me at my side. It was so weird to be able to sense things like that but it seemed like he and I were only getting closer to each other. I loved him. I don’t fully know how or exactly when it happened but it happened. And I was glad it happened.

Autumn told me that Danny needed some change in his life. Someone to rile things up to keep him from staying the same boring schedule. Apparently I saved him from becoming boring.

But then I needed someone to help simmer my temper. It seemed only Danny could do that. I needed someone to show me how to stand on my own two feet. Danny was still teaching me that. Who knew how long that lesson would take to take effect. Knowing how patient Danny was, it could take decades for all he’d care.

I gave him a smile only meant for him which he returned.

I nudged him with my elbow into his ribs lightly remembering to rile him up. I watched Danny laugh out loud with his mouth full. Yes Danny has been eating more lately. Mrs. Skye turned her head to eye her son disapprovingly but he didn’t notice. So she gave up.

When everyone finally left it was just Danny and I in our home. Even though Autumn tried talking us into keeping her for the summer to make sure we behaved ourselves went home with Danny’s mom. Mrs. Skye now was trying to encourage me to call her Nora.

That was some food for thought but I kept it to myself.

“Oh Danny could you wait for me in the bedroom. I mean our bedroom,” I tried my best to give a tempting pose.

Danny grinned but didn’t say anything.

“He dessert later!” I pretended to scoff at him.

He laughed but did as I told him. We were still using my room as our bedroom seeing as it had some nice memories. Then I started to get some rated M images in my head of him.

“No Jake! No! Dinner! Kitchen! Your bum in the kitchen now!” I shook myself.

Twice the fire almost got out of hand when the stove wouldn’t light. I cursed, said a little profanity, and held my finger on a block of ice. I was almost done when my phone rang. Yes it was a bill I had to pay. My first bill. Speaking of first, my first workday started tomorrow. Yippee.

So when I answered it I was surprised to hear Rose on the phone.

“Hey biatch you’re up!”

“Rose hey!”

I was so happy I didn’t care if I was shouting. I mean how much better could things get?

“I just wanted to tell you… that I’m getting married!”

“Holy!”

I didn’t know what to say. I was out of words to express the joys.

“Wait to who?” I suddenly had to ask not sure what was going on anymore.

“To Pete!”

I just knew she would have the happiest face over the phone at me with her mouth wide open you should shove ten sausages down. Okay… Nasty! Bad images!

“Pete? Which Pete? What Pete? Pete Wentz? Isn’t he already married?”

“Don’t tell me you forgot about me.” Someone I recognized took the phone.

I screamed over the phone and jumped once.

“What? How? Where? When?”

“Jake your low confidence in me kind of offends me a little,” he pretended to get hurt.

“Pete before I reach through the phone and choke you and even though I’d have to pay for it through Rose’s wrath but I’ll do it anyway so tell me!”

Phew trying saying that five times fast.

“Like right now,” Rose had the phone back.

“What? Without me? That’s so cruel I thought, I thought,” I pretended to sound hurt.

“Jake don’t even fake it. I know you’re not hurt. You’re just happy for me and you should be.”

I rolled my eyes remembering her little ego.

“And don’t roll your eyes at me.”

I pulled he phone away from my face looking for a hidden camera she may have possibly installed.

“Anyways the wedding march is starting up and its kind of last minute, you get to hear it all,” she said.

I think she handed someone else the phone.

“Yes what she said. I am carrying the phone with me now.” My eyebrows furrowed at the new voice, “There are so many white roses and some red its kind of making my nose itch. Oh and I am walking in your place if you wanted to know. She did say this was last minute and she really meant it. Its not like I don’t like your friend but she literally pulled me from the curb I was sitting on minding my own business.”

Wow he was really sarcastic.

“Do I at least even know you?”

“Aw you and I went the same school together. Blake Hamilton but I don’t think we’ve ever talked before until now. How’s life?”

I blinked at the phone not sure what to say.

“Hello?”

“I’m still here I just don’t remember you sorry.”

“Anyways the wedding is about to start and you better start listening.”

Hmm, if he said all of this to my face…

“Oh and please don’t take me seriously. I’m usually not like this but I’ve had a bad day and somehow got caught up in all of this.”

I didn’t say anything. Blake sure is a weird kid.

“What year were you in?” I asked but the wedding just started. I stayed silent trying not to burn anything.

The whole time I was shivering knowing my two best friends were getting married. I wondered if this was the same guy that snuck into her bedroom last I talked to her. Gosh I had so many things to tell her. Some great things and some bad. But right now that didn’t matter because…

Rose was getting married! Yeah!

“Jake? You ok in there?” I heard Danny call out to me.

After I stirred the meal and no I am not revealing what it is to you people, I hurried up the bedroom door nod real quick and left. I still had the mental image of him sitting shirtless in our bed.

Oh yummy! Should I bring the left over whip cream?

Once I had the spaghetti with my Grandmothers secret recipe sauce prepared and the breadsticks set in a basket, I moved on the third part of the meal. Okay I admit my Grandma did the sauce for me yesterday and the breadsticks were store bought. A Caesar salad I balanced on a tray. I sent a quick prayer up above that my job didn’t require having to do things like this all day.

                                              Danny

I was pretty sure I heard Jake in the kitchen cursing with a string of profanities behind. I mean the kind I would have to cover his Grandmother’s ears. I heard some yells but didn’t catch anything in particular. There were several times I almost got up to go check on him. I learned the hard way not to trust Jake with fire.

I took off my shirt and turned on the T.V. looking for something to watch. I settled with the ESPN channel for a football game. Out of everything high school I would miss, it would be those football games. Speaking of which, that gave me an idea.

I heard Jake yell something again that sounded a lot like, “Woo-ho!”

That could mean that dinner was either going really bad but really good at the same time?

With Jake you just never knew.

Before I could go on with idea I heard another alarming sound like the clanging of pans and more profanities.

“Jake? You ok in there?” I called out.

I got back in bed quickly trying to hide whatever I was up to and just watching T.V. shirtless. I loved it when Jake ate me up with his eyes.

Then I hurried back over to my unpacked box un the bed and put on my old high school uniform.

I heard Jake yell his congratulations?

There was no point in asking right now.

Then I waited and I wasn’t sure I was that hungry anymore. Well hunger for food that is.

“Oh Danny I am so sorry I think I screwed up,” Jake was sounding so distressed behind the closed door. He was still all the way down the hall way and he sounded so upset with himself.

I took off my helmet and went to wipe my face clean when Jake came charging in the room with his own football uniform. I mean the football uniform from his high school. My eye’s widened and I had such a slow reaction. Jake had that effect on me. He charged me yelling like any other football player would and tackled me.

We landed with an thud on the bed and Jake straddled me. He was looking at me through the helmet and bent down to lean in close.

“Jake your helmet is still on it makes it kind of hard to-”

He took it off so quickly that his lips were on mine at the same time the T.V. had cheers in the background. My favorite team had won. With the boy in my arms and on top of me, I felt like I won too. Heck, I knew I won big. I felt it in my bones.

We kissed like that for a while. His lips rubbing into my mine with soft friction while I held him down on top of me. It was like my birthday all over again. Only with the tackle part this time.

When Jake tried to pull back I held onto him tighter not letting him go. I felt Jake smile into my face and we started to go further. His hands were on my neck while my right arm wrapped around his back and my left hand gripped the back of his head.

My Jake. This was my Jake. My Jake. That’s my Jake. He’s mine.

“Dinner’s ready,” he told me into my mouth as we kissed a bit more, tongues swirling in each other’s mouths.

I pulled back, “I thought you screwed up.”

“I lied,” and he had that smile on his face that made me pull him down and roll him under me.

I had him pinned down our gear keeping us a bit too far apart from each other. I spread his legs open erotically and Jake closed his eye’s and moaned my name. I really enjoyed that as I pushed myself into his body more.

“Danny we both have work tomorrow and I don’t think I’m hungry for food anymore,” he said grunting and moaning at the same time.

“I don’t really care,” I said.

                                                  Jake

And that was how we spent out first night together. Neither of us cared if the food got cold or if stayed out all night. We stayed up all night. Danny remained gentle though there were moments when he would fist my hair and claim me as his.

He kissed me hard.

I kissed him soft.

And when the sun started to rise we both still wearing most of our football uniforms. It was hard trying to wipe the smile off my face whenever I looked into his face.

I went to go lay on his chest, yes gear and all, but he got up and out of the bed.

I frowned at that and tried to ask him what he was doing.

He walked over to the closet and pulled out a box of stuff he hadn’t unpacked yet. I just couldn’t put two and two together. Even when he held the box no bigger than five pounds over the bed like it was treasure. Of course when I moved the entire box fell over.

“Oh crap I am so sorry Danny I-”

Danny was down on one knee holding something in his hand up for me.
