It was growling viciously while munching on whatever that was on its mouth. Even Mr. Hernandez had to take a step back. Once the whole thing was swallowed, the attention was immediately on them, it began to walk forward calculatively, making them couldn't help but backed away.

Out of nowhere, the beast was suddenly luched toward the unsuspecting Savannah, almost knocked her down into the ground. In the end, she still fell into the ground due to shock. She screamed loudly.

Mr. Hernandez's eyes widened as he tried to approach them, wishing that he could do something before it ripped Savannah's flesh out. He directed the lamp at them carefully.

Only to find someting unexpected.

Savannah was giggling while the huge wild cat in her lap purred at her excitedly. Mr. Hernandez breathed out a sigh of relief. He was about to get a heart attack at the thought of witnessing one of his employee being a dish to vicious animal.

As he slowly approach the woman on the ground, Mr. Hernandez jumped a little at the sound of its growling again. It was growling at him while narrowed its yellow eyes at the tall arrogant man.

Mr. Hernandez gulped.

Savannah hushed the the tiger-like patterned cat, rubbing the ears as it back to being tame again. Mr. Hernandez still kind of wary that it would launch itself to attack him, so he distanced himself.

"Mr. Hernandez," she called him. "Can you point the lamp at here?"

Mr. Hernandez obeyed. He pointed the lamp at the cat while it was licking the fur. He stood there awkwardly while Savannah was checking the cat's private. His eye was twitching.

It was a minute full of awkwardness for him. Curse this woman for making him did weird things in his life.

"Oh, it's a female," Savannah shouted excitedly, hugging the ball of fur happily. She got a new friend, or probably a mate for Carrick. She just hoped that they would get along.

Savannah turned towards Mr. Hernandez, still excited. "Can we bring her home, Mr. Hernandez?"

"No." Her face fell. She looked at the cat with a frown.

The cat suddenly jumped from Savannah's hold and started to growl menacingly at him, showing its sharp teeth and claws. Oh did he just made it angry?

Mr. Hernandez gulped at the advancing cat, slowly backing away.

Savannah just sat there boredly, inspecting her nails like she was a queen or some female boss. "Just agree already."

He still stood on his ground until, "O-okay." Mr. Hernandez finally agree even though he didn't like cat that much. Guess he just had to deal with it. Better than being ripped apart by the wild animal.

"Okay girl, just quit it." Savannah scooped the angry cat to her arms, bringing it back to the car while rubbing at the huge thing lovingly.

Mr. Hernandez just sighed, then followed suit. He was supposed to be the boss here!

The hobo man was sleeping soundly when they got back at the car. Savannah put the cat inside and it curled itself on the man's lap, joining the sleep.

The atmosphere around them had changed drastically. It wasn't so eerie anymore that the noise had gone, and now the moon shined even brighter than before. The soft breeze wasn't cold, instead, it felt like a lullaby.

Savannah told Mr. Hernandez. "I am going to stay outside."

She sat down on the hard ground. No doubt that the sun will rise soon, but the stars were still lined perfectly on the dark night like a ceiling. She used to do stargazing with her family and now she missed it badly.

Savannah sighed as she closed her eyes, letting the nature gave her soothing feeling.

Feeling something wrapped around her body, Savannah snapped her eyes open, only to find Mr. Hernandez was sitting beside her. It was his jacket.

"What?" He gave her an odd look. "It was so hot inside the car."

Savannah rolled her eyes. He probably was lying and that he was afraid of her cat.

There was a pause of silence in between them for a moment. It didn't feel awkward or boring. Instead, this time it felt comforting.

"Who was that little boy?" Savannah suddenly asked, mentioning the little boy at their first meeting.

Mr. Hernandez opened his eyes as he had a fond look on his face. "My little nephew, Adrian Hernandez. He lives with me."

"Living with you? Where are his parents?" Techo Inc. had quite a lot of branchs, so she just guessed that they were taking care of some branch in other city.

"Dead."

Savannah's eyes widened. She instantly felt guilty. "I didn't know, I am sorry!"

He just nodded, his face emotionless as he stared at nothing in front of him. Then he just sighed, "It's okay."

"They got into am accident two years ago. Their car exploded entirely. No intact body was found."

Savannah had never one to love gossiping around, she liked to talk about business more than wasting her time on nothing. So, she didn't know about this incident. At the time of incident, the news was sure rolled around everywhere.

"Your nephew is a smart boy," Savannah commented. The little boy even pranked her once, deceiving her into believing that their car was a taxi. Turned out, it was just some banner he made by himself. The entire way home, Mr. Hernandez was also wondering why people were motioning their hand for him to stop the car.

The little prankster only giggling the entire way, not looking like he was guilty at all.

Savannah lied herself down the ground, not caring that her clothes would get dirty. She didn't get to be out in the wild a lot, so she just wanted to enjoy this moment. Mr. Hernandez joined her, using his hands as the pillow.

Slowly, by the caress of alluring soft breeze hitting her skin, Savannah drifted to sleep. But, before that, one thought entered her mind: the boy was so look alike with someone in her life.
