Finally, today was the day that he had waited for years to come. He was meeting that little figure from his childhood again. Strangely, this time, his heart was calm, as if it was just another normal day.

Lucas walked through the glass door. It was quite early and some employees even hadn't come yet. As soon as he entered the door, Lucas immediately found Savannah talking towards another person. It was just a normal employee.

He was pretty sure that his entry had attracted quite a lot of attention. But, Savannah didn't even glance at him, she stayed indifferent to him.

Lucas didn't bother her. Especially, he didn't want to force her into anything that would make her uncomfortable. He knew that he wasn't as forceful as before now. Somehow, he had learned of how to be patient.

Some of the workers greeted him as he walked into his room. He was just waiting until the time when the work really started. Until then, he could come out from here and to meet her.

Lucas looked at the clock once a while and when it was the time, he let oit a breath. However, he didn't seem to be in hurry to come out.

On his phone wa sthe contact that Stephen Dawson had given him. It contain Sofia's number; though Lucas only gaze at it occasionally and never contact her.

Gradually, Lucas went back to his usual habit, being immersed the the work that was stacked on top of his table. Some of the worker went in and out to talk about various things regarding the work, and Lucas complied and solved each of them.

"Mr. Hernandez, mya I come in?"

That was until a timid voice came from the door, and a series of knocking followed afterward. Lucas was still indifferent. He didn't even look up and curtly said, "Come in."

The door was pushed softly, revealing the tall figure of a woman. "Mr. Hernandez, I come here to deliver the tommorow meeting schedule."

Lucas frowned slightly. It was usually Savannah who would come and deliver things like this to him beside Andrew. As his face showed the open displeasure, he suddenly looked up.

What awaited him was the sight of a woman who looked slightly timid, standing there awkwardly. The brown eye that seemed to match with the light brown hair was avoiding his gaze.

With Lucas's mental strenght at handling people, he couldn't help but he slightly stunned, thought it was only lasy for a moment. He just looked at the figure of the woman calmly.

"Who is your name?" Lucas asked, there was a slight frown on his forehead, but his expression was neutral.

The woman in front of him seemed to be stunned. She didn't answer for a while and only looked at him with a complicated gaze that was hard to be comprehended.

"I-I am Sofia Dawson." The woman said softly, answering his question.

Lucas also looked at the woman in front him with a gaze that seemed complex. In the end, he could only smiled at her and kindly said as if he was meeting an old friend. "Sofia, long time no see. Do you still remember me?"

Lucas studied her expression. Sofia's gaze met him for a second before she immediateky withdraw. She slowly answered his question. "Sir is Lucas Hernandez..."

Lucas gave yet another smile that seemed to be reassuring. "I suppose that Uncle Stephen had told you everything then. No need to call me by the name Sir, just directly call me Lucas. We are an old acquaintances after all."

Sofia seemed to know that Lucas was studying her, so she just nodded and calmly said. "Thank you."

Lucas nodded. "Are you free for lunch?"

Sofia looked at Lucas and she seemed to be slightly less timid. The atmosphere and the smile from Lucas earlier felt like it had melted the tense atmosphere.

"I have no schedule, Sir." Sofia answered slowly, she had dared to look up and directly looked at Lucas' face.

"No need to be so tense before me." Lucas reassured. "Then, do you mind if you have lunch with me? Since this is the meeting of old friend. This will be my treat."

"Alright, thank you, Lucas." Sofia muttered softly, her clear eyes seemed to look even brighter.

Lucas looked at the beautiful woman before him. She was really beautiful, especially with that clear brown eyes. Her tall figure was the one that would make people who pass by her to take more than one glance.

However, Lucas just feel that the knot in his heart became even tighter instead. It didn't loosen, which confuse him. He didn't know how he was feeling right now after facing the woman that named Sofia from his childhood.

Passing years clearly had brought many changes to people. Even Lucas couldn't help but wonder how he had been with Sofia back the in their childhood. How did they act back then?

Though Lucas was sure that it couldn't be as awkward as now. However, Lucas wasn't really in rush. As long as Sofia was here, he believe that he would gradually able to loosen the knot in his heart.

Only then, he would be able to find his real feeling regarding the whole matter.

After that, he would also be able to decide how he will face everything then. Whether it will be heartbreak or happiness, those were the two choices.

After some time, as Lucas didn't say anything anymore, Sofia finally excused herself from his room. Lucas looked at the retreating back of that woman with a pondering look in his expression.

Gradually that figure seemed to be overlap with the familiar woman from his memory. Lucas wasn't sure would at this time he remembered Savannah's figure...

However, that figure also faded away, along with the closed door that now separated both of them. At the thought of this, Lucas's mood gradually become more complicated.

The moment the door was closed, he seemed to remember about Savannah, and how about their relationship that was slowly drifting further apart.

In the end, Lucas could only sigh with regret.
