It was Saturday, and Savannah was called by Mr. Hernandez to come to the office. She had enjoyed her time with Amara, but Mr. Hernandez interrupted them, needing her in the office for today presentation.

She had forgot that she got that schedule, luckily, there was someone to remind her of that. On Saturday, employees were still supposed to come to work, but they could left after noon.

Savannah readied herself. After she had a bath, she began to change into a formal attire and apply some light make up.

As she walked out of her bedroom, she immediately was greeted by the rare sight of Brandon holding Carrick. The grey cat seemed reluctant to be near him, but didn't attempt to claw or bite him.

Janette with Carrie was another story, she had tried to hold the cat down, but the little  feral cat was trying to bite and get away from her hold.

"What are you two doing?" Savannah asked, noticing Amara who was sitting near Brandon to watch whatever the two was doing.

Janette shrugged, "They keep biting their fur. Evidently, there are some fleas running through it, and that's probably from Carrie because Carrick doesn't has them before."

Savannah frowned at that. "You guys are picking the fleas out of their fur?"

"Yeah," Janette nodded, then she pointed at her boyfriend, "and he insist on helping me."

Brandon grumbled, pursed his lips into a thin line. Without looking up, he began to say with gratitude, "Janette sent so many brownies, my mom's favorite to our house yesterday."

Janette pinched his slightly chubby cheeks, "Aww, you are so cute."

Brandon blushed at the compliment, picking up Carrick from the floor to cover his face from the embarassment, which made the cat screeched at the sudden movement.

"Sorry, Buddy!" Brandon immediately set Carrick down and began to caress his fur, making the cat's noise ceased almost immediately. Though, the little guy still seemed a bit annoyed.

Savannah chuckled slightly at that. "Your mom still doesn't like medicine, eh?"

Brandon nodded solemnly, "She doesn't like the bitter taste of medicine and reasoned that it was just a flu. Janette made them into powders and pour some into the baked brownies."

"How's your mom now?" Janette asked with a slight worry tone in her voice.

"She has been better since she eat the brownies, thank you." Brandon kissed Janette's cheek out of nowhere, making it her turn to blush a shade of red.

Savannah just shook her head at the two, the youngsters in love. Luckily, Amara was still busy with her candy and Carrie --who had gotten out of Janette's lap-- to witness the two. Approaching the little kid, she stroke her head.

"I will go to work, stay with Janette and Brandon, okay?" Savannah asked her, smiling a geniune smile.

Amara nodded, giving her a thump up and going back focusing on her candy and the ball of fur that prefer being around Amara than Janette.

Savannah took her purse from the table. With one last look at the three, she closed the door and exited the house.

"This new technology can do many things and make our works more effective..." Savannah began to explained the details of their newfound technology. Beside her was Mr. Hernandez. They would complete each other's explanation.

The businessman from Japan was interested to make a deal with them at the end of the meeting. Mr. Hernandez was satisfied at Savannah's way to appeal them with her astonishing presentation.

Savannah was also happy that the meeting was succes. She had tried to do presentation a few times in front of clients at her father's company and she was nervous, honesty.

"You did good," Mr. Hernandez approach her as she was about to climb down the stairs. He seemed proud of her, there was a different twinkle in his eyes, as if he saw a new side of her other than his annoying secretary.

"Oh," Savannah gave him a polite nod, "Thank you, Sir."

Mr. Hernandez nodded back at her, checking his watch and raising her eyebrow slightly at the time. He turned towards Savannah and said with light tone, "Ah, it's dinner time, and you must be hungry. Let's get meal together, shall we? My treat."

Savannah sounded surprised that he was no longer the moody person she ecountered this afternood, he seemed a bit more outgoing. Savannah was also hungry, and probably all people in the house had gotten their dinner by now, so she accepted his offer and nodded. "I would like to. Thank you, Sir."

They had a dinner in the restaurant nearby. The place was already quite silent with only a few people inside. Savannah and Mr. Hernandez got their table a bit far from other customers.

"Pick whatever you want," Mr. Hernandez said as he handed the menu for her, who took it with a thin smile.

They finally ordered their meal to the waitress. As soon as she went to get their order, comfortable silence began to take place between the two again. None spoke, but weirdly they enjoyed each other's presence this night.

After the food came, even they was silent, only spoke occasionally to said some small matters. It felt like a date, the two thought inside their own head. The candles around the room didn't help either to make it less romantic, which felt quite weird in all honesty.

Savannah sighed as she sipped on her orange juice and wiped her mouth with a tissue.

"Do you live with your parents?" Suddenly Mr. Hernandez asked out of nowhere, catching her off guard.

Savannah didn't answer for a few seconds. "No, Dad is in London."

"And your mo--" Mr. Hernandez trailed off, realizing his mistake, "Sor--"

"No," Savannah cut him off, smiling a bitter smile. "It's alright. Mom passed away due to cancer two years ago."

"I am sorry," Mr. Hernandez gave her an apologetic smile that seemed a bit reassuring. "My father is gone too ... passed away along with my brother and his wife..."

Savannah sounded a bit shocked at the news. "I am sorry to hear that."

"Guess, now we have a certain same feeling in common, losing the people we love." Savannah said bitterly, Mr. Hernandez nodded at her words.

Mr. Hernandez didn't know why, but that night he felt something different like a relief and some kind of familar feeling. The other was entirely alien feeling for him, though it didn't seem bad.
