Savannah's expression turned into a scowl as she remembered what Mr. Hernandez did before they parted ways. He kidnapped Charlie, and she was going to confront him for that.

Turn out, Mr. Hernandez was late. He didn't come by lunch time as Andrew asked Savannah to have lunch with him. Savannah immediately agreed. Mr. Hernandez wouldn't hide from a mere woman like her, right?

Savannah took a bite out of her meal, then narrowed her eyes at a certain someone sitting quite far from their table. Her expression turned into a glare as she noticed another familiar person with him, a girl.

Andrew raised her eyebrow at the glaring Savannah, he followed where her stare was directed at, and frowned. "What's wrong?"

Savannah eyes flickered from the couple, and turned towards Andrew. She debated between snitching on their new secretary or just let him be. Secrets don't stay hidden forever, right?

"Do you think David Newman is a good secretary?" To be honest, she was still quite pissed with him for making her did his errand while he enjoyed his time with some girls.

"David Newman?" Andrew paused for a second. "He is pretty capable of handling Lucas's piling work for him, but he is also lazy."

"Oh." Savannah nodded in contemplation while playing with the straw of her juice. From the corner of her eyes, Savannah noticed another two girls joined David's table, making her scoff.

Andrew raised his eyebrow at the woman in front of her, amusement lining in his eyes.

"He is going to be fired."

Savannah's head snapped at Andrew's sudden words. She regard him with restrained excitement. "Really? How do you know? Did 'that man' tell you?"

By that man, Savannah meant Mr. Hernandez. Andrew had already know that. Savannah was pretty honest with him about their boss, not bothering to hide her dislike towards him in front of Andrew.

"Just see." Andrew smirked.

Savannah was absolutely and utterly happy to see Charlie standing near the receptionist desk as she stepped inside. She wasted no time to approach the man, her face showing one of surprise. "Charlie?"

Charlie smiled at the woman, motioning her to sit down. Savannah obeyed, and immediately turned to face the man. "Are you okay? What that man did to you?"

Charlie nodded at her reassuringly, making Savannah sigh in relief. "I thought that man brought you back to that restaurant. I was about to wake you up, but he suddenly went back inside the car and speeding fast before I could do that."

A few of the employees passing by, throwing Charlie a curious and suspicious look. That did make him feel nervous, but he tried to ignore that. Like what Savannah did.

The woman was grinning as she did her work. Charlie was there the whole time, analyzing how she scribbled down notes and made some calls. Also, taking care of the visitors and other works.

Savannah would ask questions to know more about Charlie, using the kind of question that only required a yes and no answer. Charlie just needed to shake his head or nodding.

Until at some point, Charlie let out some strangled noise that almost resembled a a laugh at Savannah's words. Savannah looked at him in surprise, making Charlie grin in return.

"Your throat is getting better?" Savannah was happy at the development.

Charlie nodded at her. Savannah asked again, "How?"

Charlie hold up a pen, then making a writing gesture in the air. Savannah nodded at his intention, searching a paper, and giving it at him.

Charlie shakily write down something while Savannah resumed her work. She noticed that it may had been a long time since Charlie did a handwriting. His writing was also not very clear, Savannah sometimes found herself have to spell the words to make out what he meant.

A tug to her shoulder made Savannah turn towards Charlie, who was shoving a paper to her. She gave him a small smile, taking the paper from his hand and began to read.

The young man took me to the doctor

The words written there shocked Savannah. Did that man really do that? And it was confirmed as Charlie gave her a nod, probably knowing what was inside her head.

Perhaps, he wasn't as bad as he acted the entire time she was in his presence. Savannah knew she shouldn't have labeled someone based on a few things that the person did, but, she couldn't help to hate his arrogant and condescending side.

Nonetheless, his doing towards Charlie did change her view towards him a bit.

Someone clearing his throat pulled Savannah out of her reverie. She jumped slightly at the sudden noise, and hurriedly composed herself. "Yes, Mr. Hernandez?"

Mr. Hernandez was standing there and analyzing her. She just noticed that Charlie had a bag of snack on his table. It wasn't there before and probably had something to do with the uptight man in before her.

Mr. Hernandez pursed his lips, then demanded her, "Meet me in my office room." With that, he walked in towards his office without looking back.

Savannah had a confused look on her face, she even threw Charlie a questioning look, but he was also as confused as she was. Sighing, Savannah finally decided to go to his office.

As she entered the room, Savannah was motioned by him to sit down. She followed him obediently, feeling slightly awkward.

"You are in no trouble, Miss Easton. I just want to talk about a few things." He said reasurringly, though it still sounded stern and strict.

"W-what do you want to talk about?" Savannah gazed at him in confusion. She had meant to confront him regarding Charlie's whereabouts, but now that Charlie was safe, she wasn't going to do that.

"About the misuderstanding that happened in our business trip, I want to ap--" he coughed a little, "I want to apologize for that. You don't need to return the lost money to me."

Savannah's nose scrunched a little, still confused, "why?"

"It was pure of my own m-mistake." He said as if it was hard to say this. "I forgot to lock the door before we went to the business gathering, it was all my fault."

"Oh." Savannah was loss for words. She opened her mouth, then closed it again. After some time, she finally braced herself to ask the question that had been plaguing her mind since Charlie showed up to the company today. "What about Charlie then?"

Mr. Hernandez raised his eyebrow, then he just sighed, letting out a deep breath. "Charlie? He has nowhere to go, so that means he is going to life with me."

Savannah was surprised at the answer. "R-really? You don't mind?"

Mr. Hernandez nodded, he was about to say something more, but was interrupted by a blond curls running in, screaming and tackling him into a hug, although the small child only managed to hug his feet.

The kid struggled to climb into his lap, making Mr. Hernandez recovered from his startled state to help his nephew sitting on his lap. The small child looked excited as he hold out his phone to Mr. Hernandez.

"Look, Uncle Lucas! I have gotten your photo from Andrew." The kid, that Savannah remembered as Adrian shoved the screen into Mr. Hernandez face, almost hitting his nose.

Mr. Hernandez reluctantly checked what was on the phone screen, his face showed a disbelief and horrified look. So contrast to the grinning expression of the child on his lap.

"Andrew said you are more handsome in this photo and I agree." The kid said happily.

Savannah looked between the two, suspicion etched into her face. What kind of photo that could make Mr. Hernandez's expression became like that?

Maybe, he was caught being with some woman? He cheated and afraid if his girlfriend find out? Savannah noticed Mr. Hernandez throwing an irritated look towards Andrew's office.

As if just noticed another presence with them inside the room, the little boy immidiately turned to Savannah with an excited look. He leaned toward Savannah and hold out his phone for her to see.

Mr. Hernandez upon watching what his nephew was about to do, immediately snatched the phone. But it was useless. Savannah had managed to take a peek and the picture made her loss for words.

The little boy grinned up at her and said proudly, "My uncle is so handsome, right?"

Suddenly, his words trigger Savannah to laugh loudly that she almost fell off her chair. Mr. Hernandez had a sheepish look on his face, but he was also glaring at her.

It was a photo of monkey wearing make up and the little boy said that the monkey was a lot more handsome than Mr. Hernandez.

Somehow, the little boy managed to jump down from Mr. Hernandez lap and run out of the office with the phone that he had snatched back from the table.

The little boy was shouting, "Hey everyone, look at this! I got Uncle Lucas's photo. Charlie, look!"

"He is more handsome in this photo." He added, grinning.

Mr. Hernandez lurched from his seat and frantically run out of his room to shut his nephew up, while Savannah already had tears in her eyes from laughing so much. She wiped it and continued to laugh again in the empty office.

Somewhere, there was also a booming laughter from Andrew's office.

What's on Adrian's screen:

Lol, I just thought that it would be funny ๐Ÿ˜‚
