Percy stared directly at the onyx-eyed beast before him, processing the idea that this may very well be the reincarnation of one of the many deaths that weighed on his soul.

Wolf, now identified as Zoë, was trying to figure out how in the gods names' Percy had gotten here, how he recognized her, and why the hell is the Chimera right behind him?

Gary was trying to remember where he had heard the name Zoë before. It was on the tip of one of his tongues ...

The Team, Bruce, and Diana were still processing the fact that this rando who for all they knew Wonder Woman picked up of the street, had beaten the Dark Knight, who was supposed to plan for everything.

Cred wasn't really paying attention, still creating a nest out of Percy's hair.

Finally leaving his stupor, Percy sent look that clearly said, we are talking about this later. He moved toward Kaldur, grabbed his shoulder, and gave him a light shake. This worked to bring the Atlantean to our plane of consciousness.

"So, where might the kitchen be?" Poseidon's only demigod asked Kaldur. He nodded somewhat dumbly, and moved to the rooms situated inside the mountain. As the Team stared ahead blankly, Diana had a slight grin, and Bruce quietly seethed, Percy gestured for Gary to follow him. Zoë did as well, keeping some distance from Echidna's runt. (I headcanon the PJO Chimera was the runt of Echidna's first litter, just from his description in the Arch)

Kaldur arrived at the kitchen, and gestured to enter the room. "Thanks dude," Percy said with his troublemaker smirk. Kaldur nodded in his usual stoic fashion. Percy and the various animals entered the kitchen door to find something for Gary to gorge himself upon, and explain a few things to Zoë.

While this was occurring, the Team and two heroes had gone their separate ways for the day. Batman had gone o the Batcave, seething in anger and annoyance, resolving to find out as much as possible on this upstart. Diana had returned to her apartment, curious and a little afraid at what the inevitable conflicts between the Gotham Knight and the Bane of Monsters.

Wally was still attempting to get his heart rate under control, and Artemis half-heartedly attempted to get the image of Percy out of her head in the privacy of her room in the mountain. She also seemed to be getting steadily hotter, but that was surely a faulty AC.

Dick had remained in his exact spot, having gone through the seven stages of grief way to many times than should be healthy. Because holy shit this guy just beat batman in like a second and he had a supposedly dead monster with him and oh no, HE'S HOT! M'gann had moved off to god-knows where (possibly to prepare some form of actual welcome for the demigod), and Conner had probably gone back to bed. But you don't care about them, so let's go back to Percy & Co.

Gary had already moved off to the fridge to hopefully find something fit for consumption, Cred had gone looking for chips of some kind, and Percy had pulled up a barstool directly across from the reincarnated Zoë. Looking directly into the now lupine huntress and said, "Arty's definitely gonna freak when she figures out you're still alive. And apparently you completely retain your memory." Zoë glared at Percy for what she felt was disrespecting the Goddess of the Hunt, not to mention someone who would surely kill him for that nickname. Percy's eyes widened at the implication that had occurred to him. "And you're going to freak when you learn about me and Arty."

Zoë narrowed her eyes with a soft growl, and what she was sure she misheard from the demigod before her. Deciding not to think about that for now, she turned her attention to the Chimera in the room. Who was currently feasting on all the deli meat he had somehow unwrapped, despite his lack of hands.

She made a series of barks that Percy unfortunately could not identify, but could guess what they meant. Gary had shrunk in on himself, trying to hide from the verbal onslaught. Completely on instinct, Percy grabbed the muzzle of the man-hating 6 foot wolf before him.

"I can't understand a word you're saying, but I can sure as Hades guess. If you are insulting or belittling Gary, I will not hesitate to hurt you. He his extremely insecure, and I don't want him to be pushed. So shut up, or I will make you."

Zoë was about to retort, most likely by biting off his hand, before actually taking a look at him.

She had been seeing the same idiotic thirteen year old she went on a quest with over a half-decade ago. Now she saw the warrior he become. His eyes had become brewing storms, and she could feel the strength of his hand, even through the soft grip on her jaws. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that if she refused to back down, he could and would break her jaw off. And so, she did the only thing possible.

Zoë backed down.

As she released her jaw muscles, Percy let go of her maw, moving toward the three headed monster to comfort it. They simply sat there for a few minutes, Zoë feeling incredibly uncomfortable while Percy comforted the silently crying beast.

Eventually, Gary's tears dried, and he chose to simply lay his goat head on Percy's lap, facing away from the wolf who brought about his insecurities. Cred had nestled herself in the great beast's mane, glaring all the while at Zoë. The former huntress meanwhile, was avoiding the gaze sent to her by the bird.

Percy moved the head off his lap, setting the goat down gently. He gave a disapproving glare towards the huntress turned wolf, before remembering that he should probably call his wife to be about the fact one of her oldest hunters was alive and kicking.

As an oversized/verbally abusive wolf, but alive all the same.

He searched his pockets and the back pack he had brought along for a drachma to IM Artemis. Unfortunately, he was learning the shortsightedness of only bringing cookies to Mt. Justice.

As he debated whether it would be worth it to use his limited supply, he noticed a package on a nearby counter. A package that he was 90% sure wasn't there when that Kaldur guy brought him, Gary, Cred, and Zoë into the kitchen.

Okay fine, he was 80% sure.

Moving over to the package, he figured out it was a Hermes Express package sent from Artemis. A note was attached explaining she knew him well enough to send him a care package with clothes, nectar/ambrosia, drachmas, and apparently two 'little buddies' who wanted to come with him.

Opening the box, the Egyptian plover Othello flew out and settled on his left ear, perfectly comfortable on the ledge it provided. As this occurred, Shelia (a scorpion) crawled her way out of the box, onto his hand, and began to make her rounds inside his shirt.

Story Time!

Othello joined Percy after he, Sally, Paul, and Estelle took a trip to the Bronx zoo. At some point, the to-be-named Othello had flown into his hair, and managed to hid himself for however long they family was at the zoo after he flew into Percy's hair, the ride home to Manhattan, and another two hours. Where he promptly hopped out of Percy's hair and took a shit on the son of Poseidon's copy of the Shakespearean play he was using for an English paper.

Sheila was the same scorpion that had killed his brother from three thousand years ago. Percy had found her wandering the Mojave desert with a severely injured leg, which he chose to heal. She chose to stick with him until he returned to New York where Artemis recognized her creation. While Artemis had been a bit nervous about a creature designed to kill Poseidon/Neptune demigods, but she did tell Percy the Bane of Orion's name was appropriately Sheila.

Ignoring Othello flying over to Gary to peck out the leftover ham stuck between the beast's teeth and the crawling arachnid on his torso, he gathered the water in the air into a fine mist, and grabbed a drachma. Tossing the coin into the mist he said, "Oh Iris, goddess of the rainbow, show me Artemis at ... wherever the hunt is camping right now."

An image began to shimmer in the air, showing Artemis with a few of her sisters in arms at a campfire. Sensing the message, the hunt goddess turned toward Percy. seeing who it was, her mood subtly lifted at the partial presence of her lover. At least to the Hunters with her. To Percy, the difference between before and after she realized he called her was like Nyx and Hemera.

"Hey Arty," Percy said to the man hater, further confusing the eavesdropping wolf. Her lady seemed happy at the presence of the male, which Zoë couldn't understand for the life of her.

"Hey Fish Boy, how's superhero life so far?" Artemis asked with a mild tease in her voice. Percy grinned, just happy to talk to her.

"I mean, nothing's really happened. All I did was learn my teammates' names."

"Did you threaten anyone?"

"No?"

"Are you lying to me?"

"Yes."

"How many?"

"Just one, but that seemed to scare the others. Guess they aren't used to our kind of greeting."

"My lieutenant blasts you with lightning as a greeting and a wake-up call, and you throw a small pond at her in return. Forgive me for thinking whoever you threatened might be dead."

"I take offense to that! As valid as it is."

Zoë was becoming increasingly confused at the back-and-forth between her former mistress and first male friend. Percy finally remembered why he actually called his girlfriend, and reached toward the white wolf.

"Hey Moonbeam, I found something weird. Like, weird-for-us weird" Artemis raised an eyebrow as the few hunters around her scooted closer to the IM. Percy grabbed a very shocked Zoë with one arm, pulling her into the Iris Message's frame. Artemis wasn't sure what was so weird about the wolf. Sure it was large, but when did it join him? It wouldn't be the oddest thing she had seen with Percy and animals. Once, she sent him out to get them some Chipotle. 15 minutes later he came back with two rice bowls, three bulls, a burrito, four chickens, a bag of tortilla chips, and a duck.

He was not allowed to keep the bulls or the chickens. The duck stuck around though.

She was pulled from this train of thought as she got a good look at the wolf's eyes. With teary eyes and hitching breath, she tentatively asked,

"Zoë?"

The former huntress gave a guilty nod.

TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I updated! And yeah, just so you know, The back story/personality for the animals, the eccentricates of the various gods, and our favorite Seaweed Brain's interactions with them, are all going to be a might cracky. There's still gonna be serious moments, just not always.

Also how do you feel about Mrs. O'Leary being the mom of the group?
