Quick note; I'm changing Wolf's eye color/gender. Neither of these things have any impact on the actual show, so I don't actually know why I'm saying this.

This was not savvy.

Most of the Team was rattling off hundreds of questions. They ranged from asking who in the hell he was, why Wonder Woman was putting him on the team, what his qualifications were to be a hero, and how he could have a 'fake' monster as a pet.

Gary made his strange and frankly terrifying call; somewhere between a roar, a hiss, and bleat that forced the mortals to back off, at least for a bit. Bruce was still slightly unnerved at the presence of a beast that, if the myths were true was incredibly violent, and this boy seemed to not be taking this fact seriously at all.

"Well Perseus-" Percy stopped him immediately, raising a single finger in the Bat's direction.

"It's Percy, if you could be so kind."

Batman gritted his teeth at the sheer disrespect in that single sentence. However, a little voice in the back of his head was telling him not to pick a fight with the boy before him, he couldn't win against this. Unfortunately for him, he chose to ignore the little voice

"Perseus, I expect you to listen to Justice League guidelines. Now, what is your power set?" The Dark Knight questioned Olympus' Savior.

"Again, it's Percy. Just for that, I'm not telling you," Percy responded, giving a cheeky grin all the while. Diana gave her 'cousin' a look, hoping it conveyed that he needed to stop the immaturity and not piss off Bruce. After a lengthy mental congress between the various aspects of his mind, a majority vote elected to disregard the warning and continue down the current path.

In other words, he blatantly ignored his cousin's pleas and continued annoying the Bat.

"Don't be childish. What can you do and why should you be on the Team?" Batman asked again, becoming increasingly agitated by the son of the sea.

"Well I see no reason not to be childish so I will, thank you very much. And all I'll say for now is I'm good with knives."

Kaldur chose now to pipe up. "Well, on behalf of the Team, welcome. I look forward to working with you." Kaldur bit his cheek to keep from adding 'my lord' at the end. He hadn't the faintest idea why, but knew he needed to find out.

"Prove it. Attack me right here," Batman said. He wanted to see what skill level Percy was at, and if he would actually help the Team at all. He regretted it immediately.

Percy stood impassively for a moment before Bruce made his move toward him. In that second, Percy grabbed the forgotten batarang on the floor, threw it at Batman, and used the momentary distraction to use one of his own knives.

Percy's knives were a mix of ones made of mortal steel and Celestial Bronze ones. They were attached to random points on his body, ranging from his thigh, under his arm, directly over his heart, and many other places. At a speed only Wally and Diana could fully see, he grabbed the knife under his arm, stabbed it through Batman's uniform to pin him to the ground, and had another directly above his heart, piercing the skin ever so slightly.

The team's faces had gone slack by now. How in the hell could this newbie, who was far as they knew had no previous experience, take on the god damn Batman, and win in less than a second? Diana was shocked as well, but had expected something like this. She felt his power back on Themyscira, she knew what he was capable of.

She didn't, but it's probably best if she does for now.

The Dark Knight was skilled at hiding his emotions, but Percy could see right through it. Looking dead in his eyes, Percy saw the fear. Understandable, a 19 year old had him pinned to the ground with a knife at his chest. There was also some embarrassment, so he must have been an important figure among these people. Anger to, but that was probably for the same reason as the embarrassment

However, he also noticed to emotions that Percy knew would bite him in the ass later; Distrust and hunger. The man beneath him did not trust Percy in the slightest, but also hungered for control over Percy. A dangerous combination, to be sure.

Shaking himself from the psycho-analysis, Percy asked, "I'd like directions to the kitchen. Gary gets hungry fast." With that he stepped off the hero beneath him, sheathed the knife, and wrenched the batarang out of Bruce's cape. While the shock over some rando beating one of the founding members of the league, Gary had snuck up (as best a six foot tall monster could) behind Percy and claimed the signature weapon of the Bat as his own chewie.

It took a solid five minutes for any of the team members to regain any form of coherent thought. Percy waited, an oddly patient moment for the normally ADHD demigod. Gary was contently chewing on his new toy and Cred was busy making a temporary nest in Percy's hair. Quite a few of the smaller animals Percy had would rest on his shoulder's, which would often lead to squabbles over real estate.

It was at this moment an enormous wolf chose to walk into the room. None of the heroes payed her any mind, as the unimaginatively named Wolf was a common sight around the cave. Percy stared at the beast in shock. Not because of her size, but because of her eyes. As Wolf stared at Percy with obvious recognition and shock, he stared back into the onyx eyes he watched the light leave so many years ago. Under his breath, so quiet only Wolf, himself, and Gary even heard it, Percy murmured,

"Zoë?"

Duh Duh Duuhhhh! Zoe's alive! Kind of. It works! Were you surprised? Anyway, something of a filler chapter I guess, but I think it's pretty good. Also, please check my short story The Sea and the Earth. It's original, and I kinda want to know what Wattpad thinks of it. Final sign off, give me some non Greek/Roman monsters to give to Percy as pets!
