'All the bridges you came over, don't burn that yet

Niggas want respect, but niggas ain't earned that yet

Self-righteous and entitled but they swearin' on the Bible that they love you

When really they no different from all your rivals

But I still don't wish death on 'em

I just reflect on 'em'

"Did you see when Auntie Shaw began to dance on the table?" Keira chuckled.

It had reached midnight when the trio had finally managed to leave what had been left of the cookout. They had stayed back; helping clean up the mess everybody had left behind. Despite being heavily pregnant, Keira had managed to pack up all the deck chairs and store them away.

Omari chuckled, slipping his hand around Mayalika's waist while he fished in his back pocket for the keys to the house. Maya pulled them out of her bra, handing them over to him with no emotion. Omari grinned before he leaned down to peck the shell of her ear.

"What would I do without you?" He mumbled. Omari pushed the key into the lock, opening the door so that they could all enter. Keira waddled in before the couple - immediately kicking off her shoes.

'Fuck Stacy', Mayalika thought bitterly. Although Mayalika had promised herself she wouldn't ponder over what Kameron had said to her - a seed had been planted in Maya's brain and with every passing minute it was growing, blooming a sense of curiosity and anger.

Omari raised his eyebrow at Mayalika's behaviour. She had been cold and slightly distant since they had returned from his parents' house and he couldn't figure out why. Keira looked between the two, sensing that something was off.

"Well...me and baby girl are gonna hit the hay. Maya I'll see ya tomorrow." She pulled Mayalika into a tight embrace, squeezing her slightly before she wandered down the hallway - slipping into a the deserted closet.

Maya mumbled a quiet goodbye just as Keira's figure disappeared down the hallway. Omari pulled Maya flush into his chest, burying his face into her neck and inhaling her tantalising scent. She stiffened under his touch; avoiding looking directly into his dark eyes.

Omari pulled back at her actions and his eyebrows drew in confusion, "What's wrong?" Omari questioned. Maya shifted awkwardly, avoiding his gaze.

"Be honest Omari. Did you sleep with Stacy?" She questioned meeting his gaze. Omari's eyes widened when he saw anger burning inside them.

He chuckled shaking his head; this was Kameron's doing. Since high school, Kameron had been trying to force Stacy upon Omari despite his obvious rejection. She even went as far as spiking his drink and nearly letting him get raped. Luckily, Mike had found him before anything had happened.

"Did Kameron tell you this?" He questioned.

Mayalika shook her head, "That's beside the point Omari. I just want to know if you've slept with her." she stated folding her arms over her heaving chest. Omari groaned trying to glance anywhere but at her perky breasts. Now was not the time.

"No. I only got head from a broad but that was before we even got together!" He exclaimed. Maya untangled herself from his embrace, a frown settling upon her face. There was a heavy silence; the only sound being their breathing.

"Did Kameron tell you?" Omari whispered.

Maya cut her eyes at him, "I told you it doesn't matter?!" She proclaimed throwing her hands up in frustration.

"I just wanna know!" He mumbled.

Maya scoffed, "More like pry. I told you it doesn't matter!" She stated. Maya could feel her temper drastically rising. Maya exhaled - she knew things were blowing out of proportion. Maya stepped towards Omari - rubbing his arms gently.

"Baby, I don't wanna argue." She whispered, pecking the corner of his lips, "Yes Kameron told me but I wanted to ask you because I want to believe YOU and not what I hear from anyone but YOUR mouth." She stated. Omari gazed into her eyes smiling faintly. Mayalika felt relieved that she had calmed the situation down before it escalated; afraid of Omari's hot temper.

"But I do have something to ask you..." Maya took a deep breath, "Who is Quinn to you?" Omari frowned pulling out of Mayalika's embrace as his face turned cold. He wasn't Omari - he was King; a cold, emotionless killer.

"Why does it matter?!" He snapped.

Maya furrowed her brows, "There's no reason to go ballistic on me!" she whispered. Then something clicked.

Quinn smiled back at her, shifting Reign as she noticed her begin to slip. Maya cast her eyes down to the small baby that was held aloft on her hip.

"She's adorable. How old is she?" Mayalika smiled, cooing at her. Reign tilted her head to the side before smiling brightly at Mayalika. She reached her hand out for Mayalika to take - which she gladly did, babbling to her in nonsense. Quinn frowned at the interaction, stepping back slightly so that Mayalika was forced to let go of Reign's hand.

"She's three years old, she's going to be four in a month." Quinn stated. Mayalika nodded, noticing the shift in Quinn's attitude.

"She's your daughter...isn't she?" Mayalika questioned, her voice strained and quiet.

King furrowed his brows in confusion. He had no idea what Mayalika was ranting on about. He rolled his eyes, scoffing.

"What are you on about?" He demanded.

"Reign, Quinn's daughter. She's yours isn't she?" Maya whispered.

Suddenly, her shoes became the most interesting thing in the room as she gazed down at them with concentration. Silence filled the room causing Maya to chuckle. Maya could only be honest and truthful to a certain extent until Omari had to meet her half way and so far he was a brick wall.

Maya chuckled, shaking her head so that the tears that filled her eyes wouldn't fall.

"I'm gonna head home." She shook her head at King in shame before letting herself out. Shutting the door softly. Keira appeared out of her hiding place - not surprised to see Omari sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the wall.

"You know, to be in a relationship you have to speak shit out - not blow up on her." Keira waddled towards the couch, plopping down next to him. Omari glanced at her briefly, his jaw clenching.

"She thinks-"

"I heard what she said, Omari. If I'm being honest that baby is nearly four years old." Keira suggested, "Just to get peace I suggest you get a paternity test." she said.

Kiera knew that Quinn had cheated on Omari. She had slept with him and another man around the same time she became pregnant - one of the many reasons why Keira disliked the girl.

"And on the situation with Maya, let her calm down before you plea your case." Keira rolled onto her side before getting off the couch. She pecked Omari on the temple, "Don't stay up too late." She whispered softly before disappearing up to bed - for real this time.
