"This was a bad idea.", I said.

"Well, it's too late. I already booked us a hotel and the email was already sent. By the way they replied.", Maddie said.

"What did they say?", I asked.

"They are setting up a meeting with Kameron and his agent for us tomorrow.", Maddie said.

This was really happening, tomorrow was going to be the day I tell Kameron about his unborn child. I began fiddling with my fingers, I let out a deep sigh.

"Amelia, it's going to be fine. You'll see him and tell him about the baby then you'll go from there.", Maddie said. She reached over and took my hand squeezing it.

"Unless he doesn't want to be in the baby's life and I'll be a single parent with no help.", I said.

"You have my help and if he doesn't want to be a father then that's on him. It's his loss and he'll regret it.", Maddie replied.

I wasn't sure about this, months ago he changed his number without even telling me which let me know that he didn't want to talk to me again. Kameron was a famous actor, he probably had girls lining up for him and about thirty other women who had his kids.

"He probably has like thirty kids already.", I sighed.

Maddie laughed before shaking her head. "Imagine that mans house if he raised all those kids.", Maddie joked.

I laughed softly. "Hopefully this is his first.", I said.

"If it wasn't then I'm sure we would know because the media knows everything.", Maddie said.

That didn't make me feel any better, everyone would know about me having Kameron's baby. Another reason why he wouldn't want to be in the baby's life. Kameron probably wouldn't get as many women as he has now with them knowing his a father.

I stared out the window as Maddie and I drove to LA. The only sound in the car was the radio playing R&B music. My mind drifted to Kameron and how I imagined everything would go down. Maybe he wouldn't push us away, he might be excited about this baby.

He was very sweet when we met and I think that he'll be accepting. He'll be a father to this baby and everything will be okay. He'd have to move in with me so that I could keep working but that shouldn't be a problem, right?

My eyes followed the road as we continued to drive. I yawned, my eyes fluttering shut slowly and the next thing I knew I woke up in L.A.

"Maddie, I'm scared.", I muttered.

"Amelia, it's going to be okay.", Maddie said as she plopped down on the hotel bed.

I held my belly and let out a sigh, I didn't want my baby to grow up without a father. I've always pictured a small family, the average dream girl wanted. The big beautiful how with the white picket fence. My baby deserved a father who loved him or her.

"I never imagined this being the way I got pregnant and told the father.", I said.

"I know, Amy. Don't think negative, I'm sure he'll be excited about this baby and you. I'm sure you never left his mind since that night.", Maddie said.

"I doubt that, he changed his number.", I said.

"Or it might have gotten leaked. He is famous so that is very likely.", Maddie defended.

That was true, it was hard to believe that Kameron was well known. The last thing I needed was for him to think that I needed his money because I didn't. I make my own money and I don't need a man to support me.

I walked over to the other bed and sat down. I ran my fingers through my hair. I needed to calm down and not think about this too much. Everything was going to be fine, more than fine. Kameron was going to step up and be a father, he was going to be in our baby's life.

"Baby, let's hope you have a good father.", I
whispered.

I really did hope that Kameron was going to be that father who wants be part of his child's life.

"Right this way.", A woman in a pencil shirt said.

I looked around the huge building as I walked with Maddie, our arms hooked with each other, following the woman. I felt sick to my stomach but held it together, the woman led us to a conference room where we took a seat.

"Would you like some water?", the woman asked.

I nodded then thanked her, she walked over to a small table and filled two glasses of water and handed them to Maddie and I.

"Mr. Montgomery and his agent will be with you shortly.", she said, then walked out the conference room.

"Maddie, I'm nervous.", I said.

"Don't be, you'll be fine. You're sitting down right now so he won't suspect a thing. He might not even recognize you.", Maddie said.

I took a sip of my water then set it down slightly. I could have picked an outfit that didn't show my bump so much but it's too late. I jumped when there was a small knock on the door.

My heart began to beat fast when Kameron walked through the door with another guy. The guy was a bit shorter than Kameron, he had blonde hair and was wearing a polo and dark jeans.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Keith and this is my client Kameron Montgomery as you know.", Keith said to Maddie, who stood up to shake his hand.

"This is my friend, she's a bit shy.", Maddie said.

I kept my head low until Keith and Kameron sat down. Kameron was looking at Maddie who was explaining that we were here for something important. Kameron glanced at me then did a double take.

"Amelia?", Kameron asked.

"Maybe he does recognize you.", Maddie whispered.

I looked at Kameron and let out a soft laugh.

"Kameron.", I said.

"What are you doing here?", he asked.

How do I even begin to explain to him what our situation is? I felt like I needed to throw up and it wouldn't go away. Kameron stood up then gestured for me to stand up.

"Come here, I'd like a hug. It's been a while.", Kameron said.

I looked at Maddie who shrugged, I hesitated before getting up slowly.

"Oh? You're expecting? That's great, congratulations. It's been a while since we last saw each other, huh?", Kameron said.

I placed my hands on my belly and swallowed hard.

"Oh brother.", Keith muttered before placing face palming. Looks like he caught on to what's going on.

I took a deep breath then looked into Kameron's eyes.

"I'm expecting, yes. I uh, tried to text you but you changed your number.", I began.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I accidentally leaked my own phone number and I'm sorry.", Kameron said.

I nodded. "Kameron, I'm six months pregnant. I tried to text you but you changed your number."

Kameron nodded.

"You've said that.", he laughed.

I looked at Maddie who gave me the look to just tell him without beating around the bush.

"Kameron, I'm pregnant with your baby.", I bit my lip.

Kameron's smile left his face and confused took over, he laughed shaking his head. He thought for a moment, trying to take everything in all at once. I felt my heart beat faster and faster as it stood silent.

"No, it's funny to joke around but don't joke around like that. You're not pregnant with my kid.", Kameron said.

I nodded. "The day I found out, I messaged your number but it was changed already."

"Amelia, it's not mine.", Kameron said.

"It is."

Kameron took a deep breath and I could tell he was getting upset.

"No, it's not. Okay? The joke is over, Amelia.", Kameron said, getting slightly annoyed.

I felt my stomach begin to turn the more Kameron denied it. I knew this was going to happen but it still hurt me to see it. Maddie cleared her throat before explaining to Keith what was happening.

"What do you want from me?", Kameron asked. "Money? Huh? Is that why you came here? For money or child support? Huh?", Kameron snapped.

I shook my head.

"Then what? You figured out who I was so you decided to get pregnant and say it's mine to get money?!", Kameron raised his voice, he ran his fingers through his hair.

"I don't want money, I didn't figure out who you were until two days ago.", I explained.

"So you decided to lie and say it was mine because you found out I had money?", Kameron asked.

I held my belly almost as if I was protecting my baby from Kameron's assumptions. He didn't believe and I knew he wouldn't.

"You know how many women have said they were having my baby? More than half I didn't even sleep with.", Kameron said.

"Kameron, I'm not lying to you. Could you give us a moment alone?", I said to Kameron then asked Maddie and Keith.

Keith looked at Kameron who gave him a nod then they left the room. It was going to be difficult for me to explain the truth to Kameron and he wouldn't believe me but I had to try.

I had to try for my baby.
