"How about this one?", Maddie asks holding up a onesie that said Mommy cuddle buddy.

"Cute.", I say then turn my attention down at the crib I was standing in front of.

The wood was stained white and had a sideboard that pressed against the display wall. The mobile had different animals on it that were so cute. It was gorgeous but I can't get it, I can't afford it, and I shouldn't even be buying a crib because once Kameron knows that the baby is his, we are moving back to my place.

"Gorgeous, isn't it?", Maddie asked.

"Very. Too expensive plus I can find a crib back home.", I say with a smile turning to Maddie.

She gives me a smile before hooking her arm in mine.

"Come on, let's check out these outfits I got for my new best friend.", she says then drags me to the cashier.

I wait patiently while Maddie pays for the onesies that she got for the baby. She's been really excited about this baby and can't wait for me to have him or her. Maddie and I are dying to know what I'm having so I don't have to call my baby an It.

When Maddie is done she hooks her arm in mine and we walk out of the store and through the mall.

"I set up an ultrasound appointment last week for tomorrow. Kameron said he wanted to go with and I'm not sure how to feel about it. I mean I'm happy that he wants to be there but I mean is he going to enjoy it if he still has doubts if it's his or not?"

Maddie looks at me.

"He'll be happy. You guys have been talking right? You both get along. The public hasn't seen you two together yet so there's nothing to worry about with him being doubtful and he did say that he wanted to treat this pregnancy like he's the father.", Maddie says.

That was true. I just didn't want to feel like he's only doing this because he feels like he has to. The last thing I want is for Kameron to have even the slightest doubt that this baby isn't his. He already does but that's not what I mean.

"Anyway, I get to find out the gender but I will make sure that the envelope gets to you.", I say.

"I'm so excited, Amy.", Maddie squeals.

I smile then nod in agreement. This was exciting and fun, pregnancy was difficult but the idea of a baby was exciting yet extremely scary. It's been a week since our first night staying with Kameron and he hasn't set up the test yet. He's still distant but he's getting a little more comfortable when I come around.

Every time I walk into a room his eyes go straight to my belly and trail up my body until they land on my eyes. When he does that it makes me feel naked and vulnerable, despite that he has seen me naked and vulnerable.

Hopefully, he warms up soon to me and this baby because I don't want him to only be there for me and show some sort of affection when he finds out that the baby is his. I want him to do it because he wants to not because the baby is his and he feels like he has to.

"Are you sure you're okay with going out in public with me?", I ask, my hands rested on my belly.

"Yeah, if rumors come out then we can dismiss them by saying you're a friend or something. I want to be there for the ultrasound and if I have to face some paparazzi then I will.", Kameron replies.

Okay, the first comment hurt me a bit but his last comment made me feel better. I let out a deep sigh then nodded.

"Come on.", he says.

We walk out of his house and into a car, the driver drives us to the doctor's office. When we get out of the car, heads turn of people and my heart begins to beat fast.

"Just keep moving, it's okay.", Kameron says to me.

His arm slips around my waist and he leads me inside the office. We walk in and reads pop up from magazines and look at us before focusing back on them. I walk to the front desk with Kameron trailing behind me.

"Hi, I'm here for an appointment with Dr. Hayes at 3:30.", I say.

"Amelia?", she asks.

I nod.

"Dr. Hayes will be with you shortly, just take a seat and he'll call you when he's ready.", she says sweetly. I thank her before turning to Kameron and finding us a seat.

Kameron's leg begins to bounce up and down. I can tell he's nervous.

"So, I'm not gonna see anything, right?", Kameron asks.

"No, he'll just squirt some gel on my belly and move a probe around it and the baby will show on the screen.", I say. "Not like you haven't seen anything before", I add.

Kameron looks at me before turning away.

"So are we finding out the sex of the baby today?", he asks.

"Not us but I get the envelope today to give to Maddie. She wants to throw a gender reveal party for me. For us.", I say.

Kameron nods. I get up instantly when the doctor comes and calls my name. Kameron follows behind and takes a seat next to the bed in the room. He looks at the walls not wanting to risk seeing anything he doesn't want to.

Not sure why he's so concerned about it because for me to get pregnant he had to see everything and he did. He saw everything. He touched everything, kissed everything, and begged for everything.

"Alright, I'm Dr. Hayes. It's wonderful to meet you Amelia.", he turns to Kameron. "You must be the father."

Kameron turns to him and gives him a small smile before shaking his hand.

"How are you feeling? Any problems or anything like that?", Mr. Hayes asked while putting hand sanitizer on.

"No, everything is fine. The baby is active, we don't know the gender yet but I believe we are getting an envelope with the gender. My friend wants to be the first to know and throw the gender reveal party.", I say.

"Alright, thank you for letting me know so I don't spill the beans.", He says with a chuckle. "Well, I'm gonna have you lay back and we will take a look at the one.", he smiles.

I nod before laying back, Kameron watched not saying a word. I looked at him and he gave me a small smile.

Once everything was set up, the doctor moved the probe around my belly and our baby popped up on the screen.

"That's it?", Kameron asks.

"Yep, that's your little baby.", Dr. Hayes says.

Kameron stares at the screen with full concentration. The doctor then clicked some buttons on the computer and moved the probe around a little and a heartbeat filled the room.

I smiled and began to laugh softly, tears forming in my eyes. Every time I saw my baby on the screen or hears the heartbeat, I became emotional. I look at Kameron who stared at the screen in awe.

My attention turned back to the screen and I smiled. I felt a warm touch on my hand, I looked to see Kameron holding it. He interlocked our thumbs together then looked at me with a smile.

"Baby looks good and healthy. I do see what you are having and I will make sure that the front desk knows that you will be finding the gender out through envelope.", Dr. Hayes says.

"Thank you. Could you tell me exactly how far along I am?", I ask. My purpose is so Kameron could do some math and figure it out.

"You're about twenty-seven weeks, so six months and a week, give or take.", Dr. Hayes says.

"Thank you.", I say.

Dr. Hayes wipes the gel off my belly and leaves the room, giving Kameron and me a moment. I turn to him to see what he's thinking but his expression is almost blank.

"That was the baby.", Kameron says.

"Yeah, that was the baby. Our baby.", I say.

"Yeah."

The car ride back was silent between Kameron and me. When the driver pulls up at the house we get out of the car and walk inside. Kameron takes my coat and I thank him before wobbling into the kitchen. I let out a sigh as I sat down, holding the envelope in my hands.

"That holds the sex of our baby.", Kameron says.

Our baby.

I smile softly and nod.

"Yeah, it does.", I say.

I set it down on the table and sigh before looking at Kameron who was staring at me.

"Listen, I got this celebration party for our movie launch, tomorrow night. I was wonder if you'd come with me? I-I'd like it if you came with me.", Kameron says.

"You really think that it's a good idea? I'm six months pregnant and it wouldn't be hard to miss. If it's for your movie launch then there will paparazzi and you'll be seen with me.", I explain.

"Yeah, there will be paparazzi and everyone will see you with me. Amelia, that heartbeat that I heard. It made everything real. Seeing the baby move on the screen, made it real. I would still like a paternity test because I'm still not sure if it's mine but you have a human inside you. I'm not gonna push away a good person because I don't know if the baby is mine.", Kameron says.

I look at him my lips parting.

"I don't want to hide a baby that you're having because it may or may not be mine. You're pregnant, nothing we do can change that so if people see us together then they see us together. I'd like it if you came with me.", Kameron says.

I want to cry at his statements but I hold it in and nod.

"Okay.", I let out.

Kameron smiled.

"Okay, well I will have a dress ready for you.", Kameron says before walking away.

I sat there not knowing what to say and not wanting to move. He wanted to be seen with me.
