"I have a gift for you", Luke told Christine as he drove them to Christine's place at Brinson's

Christine gasped, "I thought you forgot giving me". Luke gave Charlie too many toys earlier. Christine accepted the fact that Luke just thought of their son that she's not giving it a big deal anyway

"Yours is special", he said smiling at the road

She smiled widely and felt like a ten years old again "Where is it?"

"At your house, I told Dianne to deliver it when we left the other day", Luke explained

She crossed her arms remembering the efficient assistant of her man. Her man. "Dianne, is she…"

"No", he quickly replied while side glanced her, "I know what you're thinking babe, it's a no"

"But the way she looks at you…"

"I know. Don't worry, she's professional and I need her efficiency. I don't want to get involve with a co-worker ever again", he said laughing

Christine looked at the back to see Charlie sleeping. She doesn't want her son to hear involvement issues because her kid was too young for that

"Speaking of involving, can you stop Mark from calling you baby girl? I heard it once and I don't like it", he pleaded

Christine laughed at that spark of jealousy from Luke, "Why? Are you jealous?"

"Of course I do! You're my girl, not his", he reasoned

"He called us three baby girl. Me, Frida, even J"

"Then let him call the other two like that. Not you", Luke's forehead creased

"Mark's gay!", Tin informed

"What? That guy?"

"Yep, can you see J's okay with him? It's because he's harmless, not a pervert guy", she explained

"Too many girl might cry because of that", Luke shook his head.

Christine almost flew to her ten flight stairs of their porch the moment they pulled in.

"Slow down babe", she heard Luke said but she doesn't care. She excitedly pulled out their door keys in her bag and run inside

She was looking for something wrapped anywhere but didn't find any until she saw a group of big tracing papers at their dining table.

"Who draw at tracing papers these days?", she thought as she walked towards the rolls of papers.

"Opened it", she heard Luke said as heavy footsteps came closer at her back.

Christine's eyes grew larger when she saw the familiar lines and curves of a certain house on the paper

"A beautiful creation. Done by my wife", the guy hushed

She turned to look at the man, still with the wide eyes, "You kept this?"

"Yes, it's done by one of the best architect in Johnson. I thought I need to preserve it since it already have everything I need including four rooms of our children", he said as he hugged Christine and kissed her forehead

"Thank you! It's so good to see this again!", Christine exclaimed while she put the rolled papers on her chest

Luke smiled at that simple happiness from her. "Now, you can construct it into our land. Turn your beautiful creation into reality"

"But… but, we're almost finish with your bachelor house", Tin said

"I don't need that anymore babe. I need a family house."

Coming to the Roberts home spooked her but she needs to go as part of her agreement with Luke. Charlie has the right to meet the other half of his family anyways.

"When there's a time that you need Frida, tsk", she said to herself as they entered Roberts Manor at the farthest place of the Eastern part of the Northern Hill. It's almost dinner time, a day befor the new year

Luke's house was a simple three storey red building. Four big red front columns intimidates anyone that stood at their porch. The third storey is where the biggest room located and also a balcony at the back of it where they can see the nearby waters. Second storey consists of three big rooms of the Roberts siblings and a guestroom. Lower ground floor have a wide space for parties that they usually do every now and then.

"I'm here with you babe", Luke faced her. He sensed her nervousness in that situation. They're walking hand in hand on his left while he carried Charlie on his right.

A maid open the door for them and met Lorraine at the hallway.

"Oh, is this Charlie?", Lorraine said and held the hand of the shy boy

"Charlie, this is you grandma Lorraine", Luke introduced

The kid looked at the woman and faced Luke, "She's daddy's mother?"

"Yes, you need to kiss your grandma sweetheart", Lorraine replied instead of Luke. Charlie shyly kissed Lorraine. Giving only his cheeks to her instead of his lips

"Ahm mom, I hope you still remember Christine", Luke said as he held Christine at her back

"You father's waiting at the living room", his mother replied strongly instead, ignoring her. Margaret went to the direction of their living room while Luke smiled at Christine shyly while they followed the matriarch

"Here comes our baby!", Lorraine said excitedly and a three pairs of eyes looked at them

Charlie hid his face at Luke's father first as he was overwhelmed with what's happening. It's still a strange place for him but Luke put down the small guy. Her son hid at his father's legs instead

"Hello little man", Barry walked toward him smiling and bend to almost level his height

"Go Charlie, he's your grandpa too", Luke said softly then the kid looked at Christine. She nodded to Charlie so he walked slowly to his grandfather.

Barry hugged the kid and smelled his hair, an instinctive thing a person do to a child.

"Hi Tin, you came at last", Liam whispered at her when he came to hugged her. The first nonhostile treatment she experienced at the house for a long time.

"Hi Christine, how's life?", the Robert's patriarch asked her

"I'm alright, uhm, Mr. Roberts", she replied. It's been a long while and she doesn't know how to call her ex father in law anymore

"Of course you're alright, you have my brother again", announced by a young woman looking at her phone and seated at the couch

"Ingrid, it's new year", Barry said between his gritted teeth

Damn she really needs Frida, as in now.

An awkward dinner ended at last. It is silent except of some small talks that Liam and Luke provided. It seems that the patriarch ordered restraint for her base from his constant glares on the other women at the dining table

"I'm sorry about that, it's unfair. Your dad treated me well", Luke said to Christine when they are already sitted at their backyard. He pulled Tin at the back of the house so that the other member of the family enjoyed Charlie's  presence as the little boy slowly warming at them

Tin's back is leaning on Luke at that dark part of the house with a sound of waters nearby to accompany them

"I understand Luke, it's hard to go back from where it used to be because of what happened", she said softly

"I'm lucky to have you Tin, you're the most patient and most understanding woman I know", Luke said while their left hands entwined and he kissed her hand

"Sorry for keeping Charlie to you Luke. I know it's wrong"

"Shhhh, past is past. Let's just make a better future for our family. You know, I heard Charlie's wishing for a baby brother", Luke whispered

Tin laughed at him, "baby brother? Oh no tha….", she was cut off by a sudden slip of metal at her upper part of left ring finger. It was a ring and Luke laced his hands in Christine's to slowly slipped it whole on her finger. "What's this?"

"Marry me Christine Marie Thomas…. Again"
