"REMUS!" Sirius bellowed, sprinting down the corridors of the castle. Shoving a group of Ravenclaws out of his way, Sirius willingly ran into the library. "REMUS LUPIN!" he shouted again, ignoring the deathly glare of Madame Pince.

Remus, who was enjoying his peaceful Saturday evening alone in the one place he knew the other Marauder's wouldn't dare step foot in, sunk low into his chair as he covered his face with his book.

Sirius ran past the aisle Remus was tucked in, but halted to a stop, backing up. A wide grin spread across his face as he marched up to Remus. Snatching the book, he tossed it to the floor and shook Remus's shoulders.

"Guess what!" Sirius exclaimed, jumping up and down like a little kid.

Remus shoved him off, fixing his sweater. "What!" he grumbled, though slightly amused at his best mates behavior.

"I did it!"

Remus furrowed his eyebrows, staring at Sirius with bewilderment. "I-a am-a dog-a," he whispered with a smirk.

It took a moment to get over the fact that Sirius didn't know how to use pig latin when Remus understood what he had just said. Jumping to both feet, he sent his chair flying across the way. "What!" he shouted as loudly, if not louder, than Sirius. "Seriously?"

Sirius nodded, too excited to think of a 'Sirius' 'serious' pun. "Come on!"

The two boys took off back to the Gryffindor Tower like two tornados shoving away anything that crossed their path. Once inside, Remus sat on his trunk eagerly watching Sirius as he morphed down to a black dog.

"Bloody hell!" Remus mumbled, watching the dog walk over. "You're a dog!"

Sirius trotted around the room showing off his shiny black coat, wagging his tail and perking his ears up. He ran around the room as fast as he could, jumping over beds and skidding into walls on the slippy hardwood. Eventually, he slowed to a stop, barking at Remus a few times before climbing onto Remus's lap. He let out a low howl before morphing back into his self. Still scratching his head with his foot, Sirius fell off of Remus's lap with a thud

"Whoa," he muttered. "That was so cool!"

Remus nodded in agreement, his jaw still hanging in shock. "Do the others know yet?" he asked.

"Nope. As soon as I did it I came to find you."

"Really?"

"Of course - you were the first person I thought to tell!" Remus blushed at Sirius's sincerity. "I look pretty handsome as a dog, eh?" He stared in the mirror, fluffing his hair with a proud smirk.

"Yes Sirius, you're the most handsome dog I've ever seen," Remus said, his sarcasm ignored by Sirius.

"I love compliments. But belly rubs are always appreciated."

"I'm not giving you a belly rub."

"Fine, I'll settle for treats then. I swear I've been a good boy!" He sat down, "See? I'm house trained!" Remus chuckled at his tomfoolery. "Come on, I've been eyeing that chocolate frog all day!" Both of their eyes flickered to the crumpled wrapper beside Remus. "You're the most good looking werewolf with the best set of fangs and shiniest coat my doggie eyes have ever seen!"

Remus rolled his eyes, throwing Sirius the chocolate. "Okay, fine. But only because I'm feeling generous."
