Sirius and Remus sat alone at the Hog's Head, as suggested by Lily Evans.

"Have you ever thought of dying your hair?" Sirius inquired, taking a long sip from his butter beer.

Remus shook his head, taking a chip from the plate. "I'm perfectly fine with the color of my hair. Have you ever considered cutting yours?"

Sirius pursed his lips and responded, "Touché my furry tailed friend." He watched Remus steal another chip from his plate, but did nothing about it. "So do you fancy anyone?"

Remus sputtered his drink out, bashfully wiping his mouth. "Uh, no. Not particularly. Why do you ask?"

"Just a bit of gossip. I heard this bird has a crush on Peter."

"Good for him. Do you fancy anyone?"

"Yes."

Remus raised an eyebrow, shocked at his honesty. "Care to elaborate?"

"Nope." Sirius picked up his drink and clinked it with Remus' cup.

At that moment James and Lily stumbled in. The hazel eyed boy spotted them, marching over excitedly. "Boys, guess what!" James exclaimed. He didn't give them time to respond, and blurted, "I'm on a date with Lily!"

"No we're not," Lily quickly corrected. She looked back and forth between Remus and Sirius with a pleased smile. "I just agreed to come with to see what Remus was up to." Sirius narrowed his eyes on her, but she simply winked.

James reached out for Sirius' plate, but the latter smacked his hand away.

"Paws off!" Sirius said.

"Not fair!" James mumbled. "You let Remus eat off your plate."

"That's different. He's...Remus. I like him more."

James gasped, clutching his heart dramatically. "I see. Next time I'll ask Peter out on a lunch date, then. And when you come in looking for a chip - just remember this day."

"Well we should get going," Lily said grabbing James' arm. "I've got to get to the bookstore and James has got some lame attempt to court me I suspect. Cheers!"
