"Halloween is my favorite holiday," Sirius sighed between bites of pumpkin pasties. 

"I particularly like Christmas," Remus said watching Sirius chew with mild disgust. He really embodied his animagus while eating. 

"Me too. But there's so many things to like about Halloween."

"Enlighten me."

"Well I love the food, the pumpkins, the candy, the pranks, the food, a werewolf, gore, the forbidden forest, McGonagall scaring first years as a black cat - did I mention the food?" Sirius scarfed down he rest of his dessert, reaching for his pumpkin juice. 

Remus stared blankly, processing what was just said. "Wait, what did you say?"

Sirius rolled his eyes behind his goblet. "And you call me a bad listener."

"What did you say after food?"

Sirius pursed his lips in thought. "I don't know mate. More food? Black cats?"

"No I thought - never mind."

"Oh, it's also nice when Peeves isn't being a dickhead and rats us out."
