"Y/n. Just let me hear them for now. I'm working on some things and can't see them for now, the least you could do is let me talk to them through the phone." Katsuki says, with every word he spoke his teeth were gritted.

He heard the faint voices of his kids which calmed him down, but the fact that Y/n wasn't letting him speak to them just added fuel tot he fire.

"If you wanna talk to the kids, make some effort and do it yourself. You're the one who threatened me that you'll take them away from me, you think I haven't forgotten that?!"

"Mama, please don't be mad!" He heard Katsuya cry out.

"Just let me fucking talk to my kids, and then we'll talk this over in the morning. Stop being stubborn, Y/n." He said in a calm way, despite his insides burning with anger.

"No, and that's final. I'm not gonna let you speak or see my kids after what you said," She shouts onto the phone, and Katsuki then heard a sigh. "Good night Katsuki."

She hung up.

He tried calling her again, but she was now unreachable. She probably turned her phone off.

It wasn't his intention to fight her just for the kids.

What he wanted was to put his family together.

Be a good father to Katsurin and Katsuya.

Become a good husband to Y/n.

And he was willing to go to such lengths just to get what he wants.

Katsuki finally signs the papers in front of him.

"Just to be clear, sir. You are buying this house all in cash,"

Katsuki nods.

It was a tiny amount of money he was willing to let go just for a roof over their heads when he drags Y/n and the kids to live in with him. Just like a real family.

It was only a matter of time before they were to settle in, anyway.

He was willing to give everything, his title as the number 2 pro hero Dynamight, his fortune, his agency, his quirk, everything. He was willing to give it all up for the kids and Y/n.

But it'll take time. Because that half and half bastard is in the way.

Morning came, and it was time for Y/n to leave. She was able to calm the kids down the night before, and told them about the mission and that she won't be able to be back until night. Well, even when they're kids,  they were able to understand well. Y/n couldn't wake them up so as soon as Inko arived with All Might in tow, she quickly left, but not before leaving kisses on the sleeping kids' foreheads.

She got to the TDRK building in no time, but she made sure to stop by the convenience store to buy a breakfast to go. They had a long meeting awaiting for the day, and later at night will the mission commence.

At the very top of the tower where Shoto's office was. Shoto sat at his seat, a smug look on his face, while a fuming Katsuki Bakugou had his arms clenched on his table, supporting his weight as he leaned in, teeth gritting as he stared down at Shoto.

"I'm asking you again, Todoroki. Stay the fuck away from Y/n." He spat out each word with venom.

"I'm afraid I cannot do that, Bakugou. As far as I'm aware, she's still single. A single mother of two kids whose father didn't even know they existed until now." Shoto answered in a smug manner.

"That's the thing. I want her back and keep MY family together in peace. But you're in the way and you're ruining it!" Katsuki slammed his fists on the table. Shoto didn't even flinch.

"So you could happily play 'family'? You think that Y/n would be happy to be with you even if she chooses to move in with you? No, she'd do it for the kids, Bakugou. Even if you managed to convince her to move in with you, she would agree just for the sake of her kids. Not because she has feelings for you."

This hit Katsuki like a truck. It was true.

But he wasn't gonna give up.

"I don't fucking care about what YOU think. Stay away from her and find someone else. You're keeping her and the kids from having a normal family. If Y/n ended up choosing you, you think that the kids would still see her as their mother? No, they would see her as a selfish woman who thought to be with another man instead of their real father." Katsuki's lips formed a smirk.

"So that's how you see her." Shoto chuckled.

"I'm not surprised, Bakugou. But then again, you're the one who's selfish here. You're the one who wants her to be with you, and you're the one who's using the kids as leverage to win her over. I'm putting a fair game here, Bakugou. I'm not doing some dirty old cheats, yet she's the one coming back to me, all on her own free will." As those words left Shoto's mouth, the smirk on Katsuki's were immediately wiped off while his eyes widened.

"S-She wants to get back with me, you're just--"

"I am not in the way of your relationship because as far as I'm aware, you're nothing but the father of the kids she birthed 4 years ago,  and she will never, ever, give a fuck about you." Shoto proudly says.

Katsuki was speechless.

"Once she chooses me over you, you're done and over, Bakugou. Watch and see how she runs into my arms. Just like how she did five years ago before she left. She knows what you did before she left." Shoto stood up and looked down at Katsuki, then turned around to gaze down at the glass wall.

"She knows that you were cheating on her when ou were together on our 3rd year. Right after we graduated. You think she still wants to be with you after what you did to her?"

Silence.

"It fucking broke me when she came to my arms, crying her heart out because you broke her. She will never be yours again because I won't let it happen, Bakugou. What I feel towards her is genuine, unlike yours who just wants to be with her just because of the kids. I'll even treat the kids as if they're my own, and then we'll have kids of our own."

"I will never back off, Bakugou. You're welcome to try and win her over. But I doubt she'll choose you in the end."

"I'm not gonna give up." Katsuki says, even all of his confidence was down the drain after Shoto's jab of words to his gut.

Shoto laughs menacingly.

"I loved her once, and I will love her again now that we have two beautiful twin kids." He says, his voice cracking up.

"So you just love me because I gave birth to Katsurin and Katsuya? When it was your fault how I got them in the first place?"

The two men look back at the same time, eyes widening as they saw where the voice came from. There Y/n stood in her hero costume.

i apologize for the late update. my new AU titled 'Two Hearts Loving One' (K.B x R X S.T) will be released today, so keep an eye out for that! i will release the prologue today just to give you an insight of what it is.

basically, 2HL1 (2 hearts loving 1) is an AU in which Katsuki Bakugou, Shoto Todoroki and our one and only Y/n Midoriya will be in a polyamorous relationship. No, it will not be part of the original plot of 5YL (5 years later). this idea was requested by a reader.

i also have a few other plans/ books to create, such as a Monoma X Reader story which is also requested by a reader! it may come out at the same time as the book two of 5YL, or before, or after. this book is about to come to an end, only a few chapters left, actually. i also have a collaboration coming up with an amazing author, that might be soon too!
