Preston stayed in the kitchen with me and drank his coffee while I cooked breakfast. "I like your outfit. It is very festive." he said to me.

I flashed a smile at him as I poured batter in the waffle iron. "Thanks, I thought it was appropriate for today."

"Oh, it is my dear." he said with a smile as he lifted his mug to his mouth. I really did love how British he was! With breakfast done cooking, he helped me carry plates into the dining room. I called in Lexine and Wyatt to come eat. We sat down to eat and talked about our plans this evening. We were going to eat an early dinner and then the guys would drive us out to the neighborhood and take Lexine trick or treating. I was actually looking forward to tonight. Lexine was probably the most excited though.

My phone dinged and vibrated in my pocket. Pulling it out and looking at it I saw that I had a text from Brady. It said that I didn't have to cook tonight, that he was bringing us home pizza. I smiled and texted him back a thank you. I shared the information with the others and they nodded their approval. The rest of the morning passed by quickly and we made sandwiches for lunch. Preston and Wyatt were watching tv, I was feeling restless and looked for something to keep me busy. Lexine had busied herself coloring on one of the coffee tables.

Going to my room I found my jewelry making kit and brought it downstairs. Commandeering the other coffee table, I went through the beads and crystals that I did have left and used my imagination to envision the finished product. I smiled and went to work. Preston and Wyatt looked at me, exchanged meaningful glances with each other and smiled before turning their attention back to the screen.

I worked away pulling out different colored beads and crystals, fastening links and I got lost in my work. Before I realized it over an hour had passed by and I was almost done. "What are you making darling? I mean, I know it's a necklace but who is it for?" Wyatt asked me. I looked up at him, "I'm making a necklace for my favorite little girl. " I answered with a smile. I opened a small plastic box and pulled out a fastener. Attaching it to the necklace, I used a very fine pair of needle nose pliers to make sure that it wouldn't come off.

I held it up in the air and admired it. "Now that is lovely work!" Preston said. "You really have a talent there." I smiled at him and called Lexine over to me. I put the necklace around her neck and she preened. Wyatt and Preston admired her and I sat back happy that I had accomplished something. I hadn't had a lot of inspiration this past year and I was slowly becoming aware of how depressed I had been.

I packed up any stray bead that were left on the table and put my tools away. "If you are in need of more supplies, please let us know and we will get it." Preston offered. Smiling his way, I nodded and said, "Alright, I will. I had lost interest in it for a while but I think that I am getting my creative streak back."

Preston patted the seat next to him on the couch while Wyatt picked up Lexine to take her to the bathroom so that she could admire her reflection. "You've been pretty depressed for a while, haven't you? I think that you have been doing better now though." I tilted my head as I gazed at him. They were able to read me like a book! "I think that I've been a lot happier than I have been in a long time. I don't feel so sad anymore."

Preston reached out and hugged me. "Good. I would do anything to make the two of you feel better." My heart fluttered and I turned my head slightly to kiss the corner of his mouth. He moved his head a little more so that our lips were aligned. My lips clung to his before we moved apart at the sound of footsteps. I got up to put my things away in my room. Wyatt grabbed a box to help me. We put my things back onto the closet shelf and as we headed back to the stairs, I heard the front door open and slam shut.

Involuntarily, I grinned. One of my guys was home! I eagerly moved forward and bounced down the stairs ahead of Wyatt. He chuckled at my enthusiasm and I giggled back at him. "There's my pumpkin! Looking adorable and happy! Come give me some love!" It was Jake waiting at the bottom of the stairs for me. I threw myself into his arms, he caught me and spun me around before landing a big smacking kiss on my mouth.

As soon as he set me down, the front door opened and there was Brady with a large stack of pizzas in his arms. Both Wyatt and Jake grabbed the boxes out of his arms, which left Brady's arms free to scoop me up. They headed to the kitchen with the pizza and I returned Brady's embrace. I nuzzled my face into his neck. "Mmmmm..." I murmured. "You smell good." He kissed my head and said, "You like my cologne?" I shook my head slightly, "No, you smell like Pizza! And I'm hungry." My stomach growled a little as I said that last part and Brady laughed and carried me into the dining room.

"Delphine is hungry!" he announced to the others. "Remember what I told you about when she gets hungry!" I groaned and buried my face in his chest. I could hear a flurry of activity around me before Brady set me down in a seat. Jake opened a box of pizza and Wyatt put two slices on the paper plate in front of me. Preston popped open a can of soda and set it next to my plate. "Eat!" they all commanded me at the same time. I picked up a slice and took a bite. The flavors exploded in my mouth. It was my favorite pizza! I gave a little moan as I finished eating the slice.

I looked up to see the guys with various expressions on their faces. "No need to ask if you like it huh?" Jake asked with a knowing grin. Nodding, I picked up the second slice and took a bite. Everyone else started eating as well. I glanced down a few spots from me where Lexine was sitting and chomping on a slice of cheese pizza. I wanted to make sure that she was eating because I knew that when she was really excited about something, she tended not to eat that much. Preston saw me checking on her and gave me a nod and a wink. I understood it to mean that he would make sure that she ate enough.

Unbelievably I managed to eat four slices in all. I couldn't believe that I had been so hungry! It wasn't like I had missed any meals today. Maybe, my newfound happiness was increasing my appetite. Or maybe it was all the new physical activity that was making me so hungry. I blushed at the thought. Brady noticed my flushed cheeks and raised an eyebrow. I just shook my head slightly. He grinned and winked at me. I pretended not to notice and wiped my fingers on a napkin.

All of us had finished eating and clean up was a breeze. I was happy to see that Lexine had ate well too. "It's time to get your costume on!" Jake told her. She jumped up excitedly and grabbed my hand to haul me upstairs with her. I waved to the guys over my shoulder and followed her to our room.
