AT SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY

"Tori where the heck were you?" Mark asked as I sat down for homeroom.

"What do you mean?" I asked dumbly.

"Me and Cali went over to your place on Saturday. But no one was there," Mark looked confused as ever.

"Oooooooh yeah I forgot to tell you guys, my dad wanted to take me and Suzie to some lake. To spend 'quality family time,'" I said putting my fingers up like quotations.

Mark chuckled, "Well you could have at least texted us."

I laughed, "So you guys could barge in and ruin the party? Yeah right."

"Hey the party doesn't start until I arrive," Mark said.

"That's the crappiest saying ever," I said with a laugh.

Mark shrugged with a laugh and sat back in his chair. We waited a couple minutes until we were excused to first period.

The moment my butt hit that chair in english, Cali started to give me a lecture.

"Why didn't you tell us you were going on a trip? We are your best friends how could you! I would have told us, and if you didn't know you could have called, or TEXTED!" She practically yelled.

I chuckled, "I'm sorry Cali, sorry Mark. I just didn't find the time, please forgive me." I made a pouty face and they both looked at me.

Cali groaned and then smiled, "Ok sorry."

"Thanks Cali," I then looked at Mark and gave him the face, "Mark?"

He rolled his eyes, "I can't stay mad at you."

"Yessss." I said, "I. Am. Forgiven. Victoryyyy."

The three of us laughed and the teacher walked in closing the door behind her. We all turned to face her and she started her lesson. After English me and Mark headed to math.

Dang it, this would be interesting.

I sat down in my seat, Cole was already in and Shawn walked in moments later. Blake was last and he made it just on time. He took his seat behind me.

A couple minutes passed by with nothing. Like I mean he didn't tug my hair, call me names, nothing. Then he tossed me a piece of paper.

I opened it up of course, 'Watch your back bitch.' It read. I couldn't help but smile. I got my pencil and started to draw on the back. When I was done I passed it back to Blake.

"You bi-" he whispered yelled to me, but stopped when the teacher looked. Blake put an interested face and pretended nothing happened. The teacher believed it and went back to the lesson.

Mark looked over at me with a confused look, I mouthed him 'later' and he nodded looking back at the board.

Blake tossed me the sheet of paper and I stuffed it in my pocket when he wasn't looking. Then I went back to taking notes.

When class was over I made my way to chemistry.

"Tori wait up," I heard Mark shout.

I turned around and saw him and Cali coming towards me.

"What's up?" I asked.

"What the hell was that about?" Mark nearly shouted.

"What was what about?" I asked dumbly, even though I knew exactly what he was talking about.

"Tori don't play fool with us," Cali said.

"I told her what happened in math," Mark said, "So what the heck was that about?"

I groaned and pulled out the paper. On the front it had what Blake wrote and on the back was the picture of what I drew.

"Why did you draw Blake's head on a....flamingo?" Cali asked.

Mark laughed, "Thats funny, but yeah why a flamingo?"

I smiled, "After school meet me by my bike and you'll all see."

They both looked at me, confused.

I just laughed and grabbed Cali's hand, "Come on we have chemistry."

The three of us all walked in and sat where we had to. I caught a glimspe of Cole, he was looking at something under the desk. I figured it was his phone and dropped the matter.

Trent sat in front of me and now I couldn't see the board. Move your head, I mentally yelled at him. But of course he didn't move. How weird would it have been if he did move? Pretty weird.

Anyways the rest of the class we took notes on some slide show the teacher made us watch.

Home ec went by smoothly. Me and Cali just chilled out as the teacher talked about kitchen safety. I mean we're not five, I'm not gonna make the house catch fire with the oven. Even Suzie know's how to use the oven. Heck one can live with just a mircrowave oven, or just a microwave.

"See ya Tori," Cali called after me as we parted.

"Have fun gym," I said back.

She turned around and gave me the finger, which caused me to laugh, and she walked off.

I walked into art with that same smile. I sat at my chair and put on my smock. On the board it read, 'Paniting today.'

The teacher walked in after a while and everyone was already seated and waiting for her instructions.

"Ok class, today we will be painting the sky. So please take a window seat and for the taller people, please go to the back."

Everyone took thier seats. I got a front row seat but what scared me was Blake. Luckily he wasn't behind me but he was diagonal from me. I sighed in relief. We all already had paints in front of us, so that was one least thing to worry about.

"If you need more paint, please feel free to get your own at the table." The teacher said. She explained what she wanted in the painting and then left us. She went to sit at her desk and I saw her pull out a sketch book.

I looked back in front of me, at my blank piece of canvas. I looked back at the sky and it was like an on switch. It just clicked. I pulled out a brush and started paniting with everyone else.

"It's alright if you don't finish," The teacher said, "I just want to see what kind of painters I have."

Minutes passed by and every so often people got up and went to get paint. When I reached for my baby blue with my brush, I reliezed it was empty. I grabbed the container in my left hand. With my right I grabbed the other dark blue container, which was running low also.

I made my way to the table of paints and reloaded my blue's. Once I was sure I had enough paint I made my way back. I was about to reach my seat when Blake kicked the water bottle at his feet. The water spilled out and before I could react I slipped. Before I could process what just happened, my butt landed on the ground.

The paint went flying and before I could move or react it landed in my face and hair.

Blake started to laugh and soon everyone joined in. I sat there in shock. I looked around all the laughing people. Some were laughing just as hard as Blake, others were trying hard not to laugh. The teacher had her hand clasped over her mouth, trying not to laugh. Even the teacher was having a hard time not laughing.

I stood up and the container of paint fell to the floor.

"Look she's a freaking Smurf," Blake laughed out. The guy next to him gave him a high five.

The teacher walked over, "Why don't you go get cleaned up."

I nodded once and headed out the door and to the nearest bathroom. In the bathroom I grabbed paper towels and started wiping my face. The paint in my hair was slowly starting to dry. I made the paper towels wet and started to brush my hair.

I looked into my reflection but all I saw were all those laughing faces. A let one tear roll down my cheek and then went back to cleaning myself up.

This was a new low, even for Blake. One top of that he called me a Smurf. I wish it were Friday.

I heard the bell ring and I knew I was out of time. My face was as clean as possible, with just a few spots that were blue. But my hair was worse. There were clots of blue paint in my hair and some strands of hair were blue and stuck together.

I walked out the bathroom. I was surprise to see Blake standing on the other side of the wall. He had his arms crossed and he was leaning against the wall.

He looked at me and a smirk appeared, "I told you I'd have the last word."

With that Blake left to the cafeteria. I shook my head and walked down the hallway to my locker. I opened my locker and grabbed my lunch.

Cali and Mark came up with huge smiles.

"Hey Tori, guess what just happened?" Cali asked.

I kept my face in my locker and pulled my hair to the front. This way they couldn't see, because they were on the other side of te locker door.

"What?" I asked.

"We just heard there was an accident in the art room," Mark said.

"Really?" I said feeling my eye's burning.

Wow that was fast. Blake probably has the whole school wired on his phome, or tue other students could have texted too. I just hope they didn't get a picture.

"Yeah....Tori aren't you in art?" Mark asked.

I slammed my locker shut and showed them my slighty blue face and blue hair.

"Yeah I'm in that class," I snapped.

Their eye's became wide and thier smiles faded.

"Shit. Tori I swear I didn't know it was you," Mark said.

"Tori oh my god are you ok?" Cali asked.

"I'm fine," I muttered, trying to get a blue clot of paint out of my hair.

"Let's go eat somewhere else today," Cali said.

"Yeah, you don't have to go in lunch room, people would just laugh." Mark added.

I nodded and we all walked to audotorium instead. We all took our seats in the chairs.

"Tori we are sorry," Cali said.

"I know. It's ok." I said truthfully. I mean they didn't know it was me, it wasn't their faults.

"Who did this anyways?" Cali asked.

"It was Blake Parris. Wasn't it?" Mark asked.

I nodded and took a bite out of my sandwich.

"That bastard," Mark spat out, "Him and his brothers."

I chuckled, "They're all assholes."

We all started to laugh, and we talked but all to soon the bell rang. We got up and headed back to our classes. Cali headed to her class and me and Mark headed to history. When we enetered the room 'Project due in a week' was written across the board.

"Hope we get project partners," Mark said.

I chuckled, "Yeah then you can do all the work and I'll lay back and eat popcorn."

Mark gave me a fake glare that caused me to laugh. I had only been joking, we always split the work evenly.

"Take your seats everyone," the teacher said. She gave me glance, obviously wondering why my hair was blue. But didn't say anything.

I ignored her and we all sat down and started to listen to her.

"Your project will be a time line, on a poster board. I expect decor would fit the time I assign you," she said, "Now I know you all want to pick your partners but I have already chosen for you. It will be three to a group and I expect all work be done outside of school."

Ok so a time line isn't so bad of a project. Decorations to fit the time period, I can figure out. Now the fact that I have to do this at someone else's house, yeah thats what I'm worried about.

"Very well," the teacher said pulling out a clipboard, "Sadie, Luca, and Jake. Mark, Cade, and Lucile...."

Mark looked over at me, "Well better luck next time."

"It's fine I think I can survive, " I said with a chuckle.

Fianlly I heard the teacher say my name, "Tori, Trent, and Shawn."

What?! No, no, no, no, NO! I can't be with BOTH of them. Its already bad enough its one of them, but BOTH! Wow this day just keeps getting better and better.

Mark looked over and mouthed, 'you ok?'

I nodded, 'fine don't worry.' I mouthed back.

He didn't look so sure but we both went back to listening to the teacher call names and groups.

"Ok now get with your groups and discuss where you will all meet, you have the rest of the class." She said when she was done.

I took a deep breath and grabbed my books moving over to where Trent and Shawn were sitting.

Trent gave me a smile, his white perfect teeth practically shining, "Hey."

"Hey," I replied and sat down.

Shawn just glared, "What the hell happened to your hair?"

"I'm sure you already know. Just thank you brother," I replied.

"Ok so we have the.... 1960's," Trent said, "Anyone know any events of the 1960's?"

"I think Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, in....1969?" I said, "I'm not sure though."

"Well that's at least something," Trent said.

I shrugged.

"Wait before we talk events we should figure out where we should meet up?" Trent asked.

I didn't know a response to that, so I just stayed quiet.

"What about my place?" Shawn said after a minute.

"Sure, " I said. Of course that way it would be easier, I'll just say I got there early or something. After all I live there now.

"Sounds great," Trent said with smile, "Tori you know where Shawn lives right?"

"Yeah don't worry," I said.

"When should we meet up?" Shawn asked, "We have tryouts all week except Wednesday."

"Ok so Wednesday will work, " Trent replied.

"We'll never get it done on only one day," I said.

Trent grabbed a sheet of paper, "So let's just split the work."

I raised and eyebrow and I looked over at Shawn. He gave me a 'I have no idea' look before looking down at Trent's paper.

"Shawn you can do year sixty-on, two, and three. I can do four, five, and six. And Tori can do seven, eight, nine." Trent finished writing it down and he ripped the sheet in three pieces.

I looked down at my sheet of paper, "I guess that can work."

Wow was he actually smart? Since when?

"Yeah and Shawn already has my number, Tori mind giving me yours?" Trent pulled out his phone and added a contact.

I looked over at Shawn who had a confused face as he looked down at the paper.

"Tori? Your number?" Trent asked.

"Right uhhh..." I gave Trent my number and he grinned.

"Cool, thanks."

"Yeah no problem," I replied.

"Ok so we'll meet up Wednesday, at my place and we'll work on the project until...." Shawn asked.

Dad comes back around seven, or seven thirty.

"Six thirty?" I asked. That gives us enough time.

Shawn nodded, "Yeah that works."

"Ok so we'll meet up after school a quarter after four? That way we have time to go home and get our things?" Trent asked.

"Sounds perfect," I said. Yeah its a great idea, because it takes me about half hour to get back home, then I'll have about ten, fifteen minutes to pretend I got there earlier.

We talked for a few minutes, throwing out ideas we had. The bell rang and we all got up exiting the room. I went to my locker grabbing my backpack and some books. Then I walked into homeroom.

"Hey Tori, how'd it go?" Mark asked.

"You mean history? Fine. You?" I asked.

Mark shrugged, "It was ok. So where are you all meeting up?"

"Shawn's house," I plopped down in my chair, turning around so I could face Mark.

"What? You mean where all three triplets live? Tori you hair is still blue, or have you forgotten?" Mark said grabbing a stiff piece of my hair.

"No I haven't forgotten. But it's ok, I'll be fine." I said.

Mark muttered something under his breath then asked, "Hey I've been meaning to ask you, about that picture you drew of Blake? You said to meet up with you at your bike? Can you tell me why?"

I shook my head, "Nope your just going to wait and find out."

Mark groaned, "Ughhh I hate waiting."

I laughed, "I know you do."

A couple minutes later the bell rang. Me and Mark walked out and headed outside to the bike rack. Cali waited for us there and she looked at me, practically jumping up and down with a huge smile across her face.

"Why are you so happy?" I asked.

"I'm excited because I got a date," She squealed.

I laughed, "Congrats."

"Yeah nice job Cali," Mark said.

"Ok so what are we suppose to see that will make us understand that picture?" She asked putting on a serious face.

"Come on lets go see tryouts," I said.

"Why?" Mark asked.

"Stop asking questions and lets go already," I said. The three of us walked towards the school stadium and we all took seats at the bleachers. We weren't the only one's. I saw some girls sitting around, probably only interested in seeing the players. Heck I even saw that girl from art class.

"Tori this is gay," Mark finally said.

"Wait for it," I said.

"Wait for what? They're all just coming out to the field," Cali replied as some of the guys were coming out from the locker room.

"Wait for it," I reapeated, "Here they come."

Blake, Cole, and Shawn all came out wearing their pink jerseys. I couldn't contain the laughter. Mark and Cali joined me and soon we were all laughing hysterically.

"Oh my god," Cali said.

"I am so taking a picture of this," Mark said as he pulled out his phone.

I laughed and watched the three on the field. The other football players seemed to be laughing as well but hey the guys laughed too. The coach came out and looked at them. He yelled something and soon the whole team, including the guys, were laughing. Well even if they're not embarrassed, or if they think its funny, it was still hilarious to see them come out like that.

I sighed and the laughing subsided, "Ok you guys, I'm heading home. I need to get this paint out of my hair. See you three tomorrow."

I got up and made my way out the stadium.

"Bye Tori," Cali called after me.

"See ya later Tori," Mark said.

I walked to the bike rack and mounted my bike. What a day.
