Tori's POV

I heard the small birds chirping outside. And when I tried to look over to the window, a body chovered it up.

"Good morning," Mark said in his morning vocie. His hair was slightly messed up, and he had one of those sleepy faces.

I turned over so I was facing him, but since he was taller so I had to look up, "Hey. What time is it?"

Mark turned his head over his shoulder looking at his alarm clock, "A quarter after nine."

I nodded and closed my eyes, resting my head on his pillow, "Five more minutes." I sighed.

Mark let a small laugh and set his head next to mine. His arm was lazily hung around my waist. Five minutes passed by but we didn't make a move to get up. Ten minutes passed by but I was about to fall asleep again. Until...

"Ewwwwww."

Me and Mark looked up. Conlan was standing at the door, staring at us.

"Conlan get out," Mark said.

"Why?" Conlan shot back, "So you can kiss your girlfriend in private."

Conlan started to make kissing noises. He turned around his back facing us and hugged himself, making his hands go through his hair. He turned back to us laughing.

"That little son of..." Mark started to get up.

Conlan's eyes widened and he ran away.

Mark walked to the door and yelled out in the hallway, "Yeah you better run!"

I laughed and sat up, stretching, "I love Conlan."

"Ha ha real funny," Mark said looking at me, "He's got to learn to leave me alone."

I laughed, "But he's so cute."

"Yeah, I'm sure," Mark muttered, "Anyways wanna get some breakfast?"

I nodded and yawned, "Sure."

I got up and we headed into the hallway and downstairs. Mrs. Bennett was in the kitchen, her hair up in a ponytail and she was cleaning the stove.

When she heard us walk in she looked over and smiled, "Morning you two. So how did you two sleep?"

I didn't want to admit it but I slept great. It was just like the night of the funeral, I wasn't worried and I felt safe. That's how it feels being around my best friend.

"Alright," I said and sat at the table.

"Like a baby," Mark chuckled and sat down across from me.

Conlan came downstairs with some hockey gear all put on. His hockey mask down and he had his goalie gloves on. I looked from him to Mark. And Mark looked at me, we burst into laughter. And when Mrs.Bennett turned around, she cupped her mouth and tried not to laugh, but that didn't work. In a matter of seconds we were all laughing.

"What-where-why are you wearing all that?" Mrs. Bennett said still laughing.

"So-so Mark won't kill me," he replied, shaking.

I laughed, "Don't worry I wouldn't let him."

Conlan gave me smile, "Thanks Tori but you don't live here, so I can't really ask you to do that."

We all laughed, except for Conlan.

"Ok so what do you three want for breakfast?" Mrs.Bennett asked.

It was like nothing happened. We were all sitting around the table eating and talking like we usually did when I would spend the night. We laughed and talked and I couldn't help but think about how much better it would be with Mr.Bennett here, even if his legs were missing.

After breakfast me and Mark headed to the basement. He had a foosball table, and a small couch to watch movies in. There were videogames all over the small coffee table and the tv was set on the wall.

"I challenge you to a foosball match," I said pointing a finger at his nose.

"Oh your on!" We raced to the foosball table and Mark placed the small foosball in the middle and we started playing.

"I'm so gonna win," I said laughing, while turning one of the sticks.

"I'm sorry but I own the game so I think that I'll win," Mark said.

I spun one the sticks and the ball went in the goal, "Ohhhhhh! In your little FACE!"

Mark shook his head, "Two out of three?"

"Winner gets the red remote?" I said back.

"Done," Me and Mark shook hands and the game was on.

A good hour passed by and now we were sitting on the couch playing Call of Duty. Mark sadly had the red remote and I was stuck with the plain black one.

"I don't get you?" I told Mark as I snipped some guy's head.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"You have amazing comebacks. Like when we went bowling, you were losing and you won!" I said.

"Well....I guess it runs in the family," Mark said with grin.

I chuckled and kept playing. I felt my phone vibrate and paused the game and checked my screen.

"What's up?" Mark asked never taking his eyes off the screen.

"Just a text," I replied and looked back at my phone, opening the text.

Hey tori its trent. wanna go 2 to the movies tonight???

I stared at the text for a minute then replied.

Me: sure wat time

Trent: 4?

Me: i'll meet u there

Trent: sounds great c ya there

"Who is it? Cali?" Mark asked.

"Uhh no, it's someone else." I muttered and went back to playing the game.

Mark smirked, "Trent Micheals?"

I turned to face him my eyes wide, "How did you...?"

"Cali," Mark replied.

"Of course," I rolled my eyes, "She can't keep her mouth shut."

Mark paused the game and turned to face me, "I'm glad she told me Tori. But why didn't you tell?"

I shrugged, "I don't know. I just.....I don't know."

I looked down at my hands and randomly pressed the buttons on the controller.

"Tori we never keep secrets from each other. Hell I've told you things I haven't even told my mom," Mark said.

I chuckled, "Right. I remember I was the first one to know when you went through puberty."

We both laughed and Mark nodded. It was true, before telling his mom he told me. And when I went through my period the first time I told him before dad. I mean do you know how weird it is to tell your dad? When I told him he was like 'Great. Congrats.' Then he stared at his shoes awkwardly and I was kinda just standing there trying to think of a way to tell him to go to the store and buy me my girly needs. That was an awkward day.

But with Mark? It just comes naturally. I told him he hugged me said congrats and we just talked about random stuff the rest of the day. Like nothing happened. Same case for when he went through that change.

"Yeah see, we never hold secrets from each other." Mark nudged my shoulder with his and that made me crack a smile.

"Ok. Well Trent just asked me on a date," I said.

Mark's smile disappeared, "I don't trust that son of a bitch. Anyone that hangs with the Parris brothers are players."

I tensed. No more secrets. Blake, Cole, and Shawn were my biggest secret. I wasn't sure if I should tell Mark. He was my best friend. But if I broke the promise with the guys, then I might as well bury my own grave. So right now I was stuck, really stuck.

"I better get going, my dad is probably wondering when I'll come back. And it's almost lunch time." I said getting up.

"I'll drive you," Mark replied getting up beside me.

"I'll bike, don't worry." I started walking towards the stiars and Mark followed.

"Oh no you aren't," Mark got in front of me blocking the exit with his arm.

I rolled my eyes, "Mark move."

"Only if you agree to let me give you ride," Mark crossed his arms and moved in front of me. He was like a freaking bodyguard.

"Fine," I sighed.

Mark smiled at me and we walked upstairs. Mrs.Bennett looked over at us as we reached the kitchen, "Leaving so soon?"

"Yeah I better get going," I told her.

"Ok," She walked over and gave me a hug, "Thank you Tori. For everything."

I nodded, "Call me when you get word from the Mr. I wanna be there when he gets back."

"Of course, he'll be delighted to see you," Mrs. Bennett smiled.

"Bye Tori," Conlan said.

I ruffled his hair, "Bye Conlan. Make sure Mark doesn't kill you."

Conlan laughed, "Wish me luck."

Mark grabbed his keys and we went outside. I put my bike in the back of his red pickup and got in shotgun. Mark told his mom we were leaving and then he got into the drivers seat. We didn't talk much on the way there. And I was confused where he was taking me until I saw it. It was my old house, the one I lived in before I moved in with Lilly. As I looked up at thw house I started to fell homesick. And when I looked in the backyard at the old swing hanging from the tree, I thought of how much I missed that.

"Thanks Mark," I said and got out of the car. He followed, helping me get my bike out of the back.

As I walked to my house a hand grabbed my wrist. I turned around and saw Mark's worried face.

"Tori be careful with Trent ok?" Mark asked.

I smiled at him, "Of course."

He nodded at me once, "Ok. Tori thank you."

I smiled and gave him a hug, "What are best friends for?"

"Best friends for life," Mark said.

I nodded, "For life."

He walked back to his car and got in. I waved as he drove off and once he was out of sight I mounted my bike and took off in a different direction, to my new house. As I peddled I made sure to give one last look at my old house. When I rode down the hill it disappeared behind me, so I kept riding.

I reached my home after about twenty minutes and hopped off setting my bike in the shed. I went through the backdoor of the house and closed the door behind me.

"Tori!" Suzie yelled and ambushed me in hug, "You were gone soooo long!"

I laughed, "Hey Sue. So what'd I miss?"

"Really good spaghetti," dad said from the counter.

"Darn," I said with a smile.

"So how are they?" Dad asked.

"Ok I guess. In shock mostly, and I believe he's coming home in a month." I replied.

"That's good," Lilly said.

I raised an eyebrow at her. No offense to her but why should she be saying this? I mean she doesn't even know Mr.Bennett.

Suddenly I heard some gunshots from the basement, so I only guessed that the guy's were playing videogames. I rolled my eyes and turned my attention to my dad.

"Hey dad when can I have my driver's license back?" I asked sweetly.

My dad laughed, "Why?"

"I want to go to the movies today. Around four." I replied.

"Ok," dad pulled out his wallet and then my driver's license, "Here. I expect you home by seven thirty."

I nodded putting my license in my snapbag and went upstairs to get my videogame controller then back downstairs and into the basement.

"You little son of bitch!" I heard the guys yell.

I rolled my eyes and walked over, "Mind if I play?"

"You?" Blake spat out.

"Yes me and if you can't handle a girl then your screwed for life," I said.

"Just let her play," Shawn muttered.

I gave a fake smile to Shawn, "Thank you dear."

"Talk to me like that and you'll regret," Shawn spat out.

I laughed and grabbed a bean bag, connecting my controller. I started to play with the three guys. Modern Warfare of course.

The guys didn't say anything but they kept giving me glances and I rolled my eyes.

"So did you have fun last night?" Blake asked.

"Not really. Mostly just crying, and hugging, but I did watch Batman." I shrugged.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Cole asked.

I paused the game and looked at them, "What are you talking about? I was at Mark's house, his father's in the army and he just lost both if his legs. So I ask again what the hell are you three talking about?"

The three guys stared at me. I could see some anger, possibly guilt, and looked like some regret.

"Never mind," Shawn said and we all started playing agin.

"Damn it, that mother fffffudge!" I yelled. I rapidly pressed buttons and moved around.

The guys all smirked.

"No! Shithead!" Blake yelled.

"Now now don't lose your temper Blake," Shawn said with a chuckle.

I looked at Blake, "So you DO have a temper. No shocker there."

"Yup he once got so mad he threw the controller into the tv and it sorta just stuck there," Cole said.

I cracked up along with Shawn and Cole. Blake just glared at us.

"Ha ha real funny," He said.

"I think so," I said wiping a small tear from my eye.

"Whatever bitch," Blake muttered.

"You know I'm so used to you calling me that, it's just like a nickname." I said truthfully.

And it was true. Blake called me that all the time now. Some people get tired of hearing it, but at the same time you just get used to it. Heck it WAS like a nickname now.

"No your nickname is smurf," Blake said.

I laughed, "And you, Cole, and Shawn are the three flamingos."

They all glared at me but I just shrugged, "You messed with my bike. I was just getting even."

We played around for a bit, yelling and screaming at the tv. I sulked back in my bean bag and watched the replay of how it was I died.

"Oh Tori before we forget," Shawn said pausing the game, "We need to tell you something."

They all looked at each other. And I looked at them, confused. Blake just sat bck in his chair like he didn't want anything to do with this.

"It's about Trent," Shawn added.

I chuckled, "That I'm his victim this year?"

The three stared at me wide eyed and confused.

"Whoa I am lost how the hell did you know that?" Cole asked.

"Holy shit I'm confused," Shawn muttered.

Blake stared at me, "You were never gonna let him take advantage of you were you?"

I chuckled, "Guys I'm not stupid. Trent hasn't paid any attention to me since he moved here which was like what sixth grade? Now yeah I find him attractive, but that was all me acting."

"You mean everything? Everything was just you acting?" Shawn asked.

"I know he's a damn player like you three, I know that he takes away the virginity of most girls. Like you three. And I know about your game, the whole school does. And every virgin in the school knows to watch out. So yeah." I said proudly.

"Whoa," Cole said.

"Wait keep going I want to hear the full story," Shawn said.

I chuckled, "Ok well I'm still a virgin and I was smart enough to know that I was just a game. Trent has never talked to me, and then all of a sudden he says he likes me and wants to get to know me. At first yeah I believed him, I thought sure what the heck. But when I started thinking more I reliezed its just a joke, he just wanted to get me in bed. You three didn't even know me until our parents met, and really if you didn't know me how could Trent? Unless he knew I was virgin because I have never done that. And I'm guessing you four know which and which aren't the people at our school that are virgins right? Plus everyone knows he's a player. I'm guessing he told you three that I was his victim, and that he was gonna take my virginity and then dump me like a sack? You just confirmed my theory."

They all nodded which only made me laugh. They looked so lost, shocked, confused, and dumbfounded that it was just a perfect moment to take a picture.

"But you believed him, in the beginning?" Cole asked.

"Yeah but like I said, I started to think." I replied.

"When did you figure it out?" Shawn asked.

"Th other day in chemistry," I said. And I did figure it out that day. It was after what David said. He made me realize it was a joke, it was just a game.

"Trent thinks he's playing you, but now your just playing him." Blake said.

I gave them a evil grin, "I'll tell you what, this isn't his game anymore. It's mine."
