He turns towards me and lowers his face until we were inches from each other. Jungkook holds my gaze and says, "I know." He tightens his grasp around my fingers.
He leads me away from the scene and we walk towards the parking lot. The whole entire time, Jungkook doesn't let go of my hand. Not even for one second.

I allow him to guide me to his car. He opens the passenger door, points, gesturing for me to sit inside.
"Jungkook, where are we gonna go?"
"Can you please just get in?" Jungkook begs with exasperation.
"I just want to know where we're going," I explain.
"I'm just tired y/n. I'm really sick of this place. Let's just take a little break, and at least get your face fixed up."
     I sigh. "Okay."

I sit in the passenger seat of his car. The exterior was quite nice, but the inside of the vehicle was even better.
He puts his key into the ignition, and drives out of the parking lot.
"Damn this is a nice car. What's the name?" I tried to start some small talk.
    "Bugatti Chiron."

I had no idea what he just said. Hell, I'm even surprised I recognized Taehyung's car as a Ferrari.
We stay quiet as Jungkook continues driving. I break the silence.
"So which hospital are we going to?"
"I never said we were going to a hospital," Jungkook clarifies.
"Why aren't we going to one?"
"Doesn't your mom work as a secretary at the local one?" Jungkook asks.

He actually remembered that from our childhood?
"Yeah..." I answered.
"I don't mind going there, but do you really want to explain to your mother how you got pummeled to a pulp?" Jungkook snickered.
"No...she'd probably force me to do homeschooling or move me to the other side of the country," I admit with embarrassment. And then It would become impossible for me to help you.
"Then where are we going?" I wondered.
"To my house." Jungkook states blatantly, without sparing me a glance.

That took me off guard. It was only Day 3 of my mission, and I'm already entering his living quarters? I never expected to be so ahead of schedule of my plan.

I excitedly whispered to my self. "Yesssss-OWWWW!" My head really hurts. I winced from the pain.
"Don't talk too much y/n, the cuts on your face will only get bigger and more blood will spill from your wounds. Just keep your mouth closed until we reach my place," he commands.

I nod and he puts on a local news station on the radio. He may be one of the only teenagers I know that listens to the news and not music when driving.

Jungkook drives for 20 minutes and we finally reach the ridiculously rich part of our city. This is where celebrities, businessmen and politicians inhabited. Only those loaded with money could afford residence here.

"Are you sure we're in the right place?" I squealed with astonishment.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd know where my house is," Jungkook rolls his eyes.

We arrive at this huge mansion, with gigantic gates and clock towers surrounding. I take my glasses from my huge pocket and put it on. My eyesight wasn't super bad, but it did help me to see the little details.
I always had a feeling he was wealthy, but I didn't know he was filthy rich.

Jungkook entered in a 25 digit passcode to allow entry from the towering gates. He explains that the guards were on vacation and this passcode allowed him to enter through the gate. The house itself was impossible to enter without hand print identification.
We finally enter through the door of his mansion. He holds the door open and we step inside.

"I do have a bathroom on the first floor...but we're going to have to use my bedroom's bathroom," Jungkook casually says as he jammed his hands in his front pockets.
Wait, I'm going to be inside of the room where he sleeps? Today? I began freaking out. I desired getting close to Jungkook, but I did not want to be that close to his sleeping location.
"Why?" I squeaked. I failed at not sounding nervous.

"I don't mind you using the first floor bathroom but your blood is gonna get all over the sink..my family ain't gonna like that," Jungkook clarified.
      "Uh-uh okay..." I stammer.
Jungkook chuckled. "Don't worry. Nothing bad will happen. I saved you today right?"
     I nod.
"So can't you trust me?" he says, as he steps closer.

I raise my eyebrow up and was about to give him a sassy, honest response but he interrupts me.
"Okay, I get why you can't trust me. But how about just today. Can you trust me for just one day? In exchange for me saving you?" Jungkook pleaded. I gazed into his eyes, and he seem sincere.
I really don't trust you at all...
"Of course I can," I lied and follow him towards the spiral steps.

It was difficult climbing the stairs. I didn't realize how much pain my body was in, especially my torso and thighs. I grunted with every step I took.
Jungkook turns around and sympathizes with my deteriorating physical state.
"Yeah, that happens. When you get into brawls, the wounds aren't that painful because of the adrenaline rushing through your system. The adrenaline distracts you from your agony, while increasing your mental concentration. It isn't until after, when the adrenaline levels decrease, that the real pain starts," Jungkook explains.
"Ohh....wait how do you know that?" I asked.
"Uh, lucky guess," Jungkook coughs and looks down.
"Sure it's a lucky guess. Do you participate in physical fights often?" I accused him. Are these brawls the origin of his depression?

"I'm a guy, y/n, what do you expect?" Jungkook lifted his shoulder in a half shrug.

"Men can be civilized and solve their issues without mutilating other people's faces. It's the 21st century, we're way past the barbaric times where every conflict is solved with physical strength. The pen is mightier than the sword." I explained to him, tossing my hair over my shoulder.
Jungkook takes a few seconds to ponder.
"That's true. I guess the world would be better off if women were in charge, huh?"
I nod. "Yeah except for Ji Hee," I say bluntly and he chuckles.

I climb a few more steps and squeak because of the agony. I was only halfway through the staircase, and my body was killing me.
Jungkook exhaled a deep breath. "I can put your arm around my shoulders if you want, for support-"

"I'm gonna be honest, Jungkook. I'd rather not have you do that for me," I admit.
"Look I know you hate me. But you can't refuse me like that, even though we have this bad blood between us."
"I don't hate you, Jungkook. It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with my pride," I climb another step, and stumble. I sat down for a break.
Jungkook was already at the top of the stairs, but he moved down a few steps closer to me.
"What do you mean?" He cocked his head.

"I'm not the strongest person. Not when it comes to emotions, not when it comes to pain. But I'll always try my best, even if I'm alone."
"But you're not alone here," he points out. He cocks his eyebrow, with confusion.
"No I'm not but I usually am. If I start asking others for help now I'll just become reliant. Then one day, the person I need the most won't be there, and I'll crumble," I confided to him.

Jungkook plays with the button on his shirt. "I never thought about it that way. But it's okay to accept help, somtimes, y/n..."
"Then will you? Will you ask for help?" I ask. Jungkook seems taken back with my question, lowering his gaze from my eyes.
"If I allow you to help me here, will you let me to help you, just one day? If you're ever in pain?" I pleaded.
Jungkook purses his lips in a thin line and is silent for a few seconds. "Yeah, you can. I promise."
"Okay then," I stand up. He comes to my side and is about to grab my arm.

Instinctively, I push his body away. I'm trying so hard to get close to Jungkook, but my mind is just scared of him. Even though my heart is trying to forgive his past mistakes, my body is telling me to run away.
"Sorry uh, that part of my arm is really sensitive," I lied. "How about I hold onto your shoulder?"
"Uhh sure," he replies. I hold on and we finally reach the top of the staircase. I sit down on the final step and groan from exhaustion. Jungkook departs the hallway to another room. I wipe the sweat from my face..and of course alongside blood came with it.
Jungkook returns, and hands me a water bottle. I take a sip and get up. "I'm ready. Take me to your room."

I trail behind Jungkook until we reach a doorway at the end of the hallway. He opens the door and we enter in. His room was just like a regular teenager's except a it was a lot bigger. We stand in front of another door.

"I would start by just taking a face towel and damping it with some warm water. Gently dab your face with the towel, washing away the majority of the blood on your skin. Then we get started on the wounds themselves," he advises, confidently.
I nod and go into the bathroom. Just like his bedroom and mansion, it was huge and luxurious.

I look in the mirror. Oh, wow. My face was drenched in blood completely. My white sweater contained many stains of dirt and blood, too. I looked like I belonged on the set of horror movie.

After following his instructions, my face looked somewhat human again. I still had a black eye and bruises around my face, but it was recognizable in comparison to before. There were also a few open wounds on my face and neck.

I exited the bathroom and observed he already had some supplies on his table ready.
"I knew I looked bad, but I thought didn't look that terrible! I look like I'm running away from zombies in the apocalypse. A complete freak show!" I exclaimed.
"Yup, pretty much," Jungkook snorts. He doesn't even try to lie to make me feel better.

There was that rude, unemotional side to him again. I sigh. It's important for me to not be hurt to to his insensitive words because I'm not here to be his compatible soulmate. I'm here to save him.
