Did any of you catch Harry on SNL yesterday? He did such a fantastic job and I am so proud of him! Plus Ever Since New York is an amazing song - can't wait to hear the rest of his album!

The user has requested for the prompt of this imagine to be a surprise, so I've basically just written the first thing that came to my mind. Therefore, my sincere apologies if it isn't what you were expecting.

This imagine is barely proof read, so I apologize for any mistakes.
...

"Cassidy, are you sure you're alright?" asked my older brother, Ashton. He was constantly worrying about me, considering he was my doctor along with his three best friends, but now he is worrying even more now that I've been sent home from school with a cold.

I didn't see the reason why he had to worry so much about just a plan simple cold, maybe he thought it was something more than I cold and that's why he was being this way. But there was nothing else wrong with me.

"Ashton, I am fine, it's just a cold and you need to stop worrying," I snapped. It wasn't my intention to snap at him the way I did, but he was beginning to get on my nerves with all the questions.

He sighed, "But it's my job to worry, Cass, as you're doctor and brother." I debating rolling my eyes at him but didn't knowing he was right.

And after making sure I was content and comfortable, he left to return back to his shift at the hospital.

...

Three days later and I wasn't feeling much better. I had a fever that wouldn't go down, aches all over my body, I had lost my appetite, and struggled to breathe sometimes.

Ashton had stated that he would put me in the hospital if I wasn't better by Saturday, but I protested - not wanting to go anywhere near that dreaded place.

Speaking of Ashton; he was at work once again, leaving my ill self home alone, although it's not like I'd beg him to stay, knowing that he'd just make a fuss over me.

However there was something different about the way I was feeling today, almost as if I was too weak or the fact that I couldn't breathe. Yet I shrugged it off, still thinking it was just a simple cold.

That was until I coughed and there was blood in my hands, then I knew it was serious and I began to panic, because if there's one thing I've ever learned from Ashton and his many health lectures is that: it is not normal for someone to cough up blood.

My shaking hand reached for my phone that was on my bedside table, and pressed Ashton's contact. It rang a few times before going to voicemail and I realized that he was most likely busy with patients, therefore I dialed the next best person I could think of.

And I was thankful that they picked up the phone after two rings.

"Luke, where's Ashton?" I asked with a panicking voice.

"He's doing a surgery right now. Why, what's wrong?" He asked back, most likely hearing the panic in my voice.

I sniffled, "I just coughed up blood."

A few curses were heard from his side of the phone - before he explained that he was sending an ambulance and would meet me at the hospital. To say I was scared would be an understatement, I was beyond terrified at this point.

..

"Shh, everything is going to be alright," Luke reassured me as soon as I was wheeled into the emergency department.

He got my report from the paramedics and rushed me off to an empty room. Hooking me up to all sorts of monitors and such. A thermometer was swiped across my forehead, and a gasp was heard from Luke as he looked at the results.

"104.2, that's really high Cassidy," he spoke as he grabbed his stethoscope and placed it over my heart. He moved it around every few seconds, then placed it on my back to listen to my lungs. "Cassidy, it sounds like have fluid in your lungs and with all the symptoms you're experiencing - I think you have bacterial pneumonia."

"O-oh," I stammered with the fear of the name of my 'illness' setting in. Luke must've noticed my uneasiness about the situation, because he pulled me into a hug.

"Don't worry, it is 100% treatable with the right medication," he reassured me for the second time that day. "With that being said, I'd like to start you on an iv line of fluids and antibiotics."

And in that very moment Ashton walked by the room, and immediately turned around when he saw me laying there.

"Cassidy, Luke? What's going on?" He asked, the worry in his tone of voice heard clearly. Luke stopped doing what he was doing and turned towards Ashton.

He gave him a sad smile, "Cassidy is showing all the symptoms of bacterial pneumonia, I'm starting her on an iv line of fluids with antibiotics." Ashton's eyes widen at Luke's words and he sprang into action as well, helping Luke get the iv prepared.

I let out a whimper as the needle pierced into the skin of the back of my hand. Luke attached the medicine to the cannula and made sure I was getting the correct dosage, before saying he'd return later in the day.

"Guess it wasn't 'just a cold' then," Ashton teased. I sent him a quick smile and cuddled closer towards him, thankful to have him as my brother.

..

Wow there was a lot of dialogue in that imagine! My apologies for it being so short.

Much love,
Ali.
