Chloe's Pov:

The anxious feeling of the waiting room sent chills up my spine. I was currently at my boyfriends doctors office for my yearly physical. Except; I was afraid.

Various nurses were in and out of the waiting room, calling a patient back for their doom. Okay maybe I was exaggerating a little bit, or a lot. But it wasn't my fault that I had always disliked going to the doctors.

A nurse in violet scrubs came out to the waiting room and unfortunately called my name. She had a Manila folder clutched in her left hand - I assumed it contained all my health information.

I hesitantly make my way towards her before I am lead back to my doom.

"I just need to check your weight, height, blood pressure, temperature, and have you change into a gown." She said, leading me over toward the height chart and scale.
(A/n: i don't know what it's called, my apologies)

Once those were completed she took my blood pressure and temperature, and handed me a worn out gown.

"Change into this and Dr. Horan should be in shortly." She told me, leaving the room.

I thanked her and changed into the flimsy piece of clothing. The noise of footsteps approaching startled me out of my daydream. A soft knock on the door was heard and my boyfriend soon walked in, holding a manila folder.

"Hi baby," he greeted, pecking my lips and sitting in front of me. He opened up the folder and began to write stuff in it. I was quite curious to know what he was writing or if it was about me, but I was too nervous to question him about it.

"You alright Chloe? You're kind of shaking a bit," he asked, looking up from the folder, before fixating his gaze back on to it.

I nodded my head and lied; telling him I was okay when in reality, I wasn't. He looked perplexed for quite a few minutes before it was soon replaced by a slight emotionless face.

He placed the file on the counter and stood up from the chair, uncoiling his stethoscope from around his neck, and walking towards me.

I began to panic.

"Chloe, baby, what's the matter?" Niall asked, noticing my panicked state I was in.

"I'm scared," I whispered to him, a single tear slowly falling down my cheek. It was true, I was scared; scared of this entire appointment.

He sighed, "Baby, you have nothing to be scared about and you know it. Please don't be afraid of me because I just want to take care of you forever, and make sure you are healthy, so please let me do this."

After much thought I finally gave in, wanting to get this appointment done and over with.

"Okay baby, I'm just going to listen to your heart and lungs first, and then we can take it from there."

I flinched at the coldness of the stethoscope as it was placed onto my chest. Niall laughed and muttered an apology. He moved the stethoscope around before placing it on my back, listening to my lungs.

"Everything sounds good babe," he spoke, putting the stethoscope back around his neck. "I'm just going to check your eyes, ears, and mouth."

He grabbed the otoscope off of the wall and shined at in my eyes. Next, he checked my ears, and finally finished off with my mouth.

"Okay, lie down for me please," he instructed, pushing my shoulders in a lying position, knowing I most likely would not do it myself.

I felt my shirt get tugged upwards before his hands were placed on my abdomen; it was a bit awkward.

A few moments later my shirt was pulled back down and Niall helped me sit up again. He walked back towards the file and began to write an it once again.

What he said next was enough to make me cry, it was something I had always dreaded.

"Babe I'd hate to upset ya, but you need two vaccines and a blood test. I'll get someone to come help me with it," he told me, pressing a button on his pager.

A curly headed, green eyed, male doctor walked into the room a few minutes later. He was holding a silver tray - I assumed it had the vaccines and supplies for the blood test.

"Chloe," Niall spoke, startling me out of my thoughts. "This is my good friend Harry, or Dr. Styles. He's going to be assisting me with your vaccines and blood draw today."

I nodded, and smiled at Harry. He seemed like a nice man - except for the part where he'd be poking me with needles.

"Okay, Harry will be doing the blood draw whilst I do the vaccinations," Niall spoke up as him and Harry pulled on a pair of gloves.

Harry walked towards me with the supplies for the blood test. A tourniquet was wrapped around my upper arm, as Harry began to feel for a vain. Once one was found, he wiped the area with an antiseptic wipe, and grabbed the butterfly needle.

"Small pinch on three. One.. two..three"

I whimpered as the needle was inserted in my skin and a syringe with a tube was attached. Harry took the needle out a few minutes later and placed a cotton ball with some bandage wrap over the puncture hole.

Niall then walked towards me with the two vaccines and pulled up my arm sleeve. He too wiped the area with an antiseptic wipe before injecting the vaccinations. Two small bandages were placed over the puncture holes, as well as a kiss from Niall.

"You did so good baby, I'll see you at home. Love you," Niall spoke as he pulled me into a hug.

I smiled at him and hopped off the exam table, waving goodbye to him and Harry.

I'm truly lucky to have an amazing boyfriend just like him.

.....

I'm cringing so hard at this. My apologies that you guys had to suffer through that.

Xx,
Ali.
