SENIOR YEAR. The final year to be a reckless teenager before you have to take responsibility. The final year of attending Worthington Preparatory before college. It's a scary thought that we only have 12 months left to hold onto our childhood. 12 months left with our family and friends. 12 months left to live our lives to fullest while we still can.

We've spent the past 18 years of our lives with people we've known since we were born. Whether we love them. Don't know them.

Or hate them.

Evelyn Rhodes. Or Evie as she prefers to be called. Daughter of Jack and Lilian Rhodes. Sister of Blake, Asher, and Layla Rhodes. My best friend. Princess of Worthington Preparatory. We first met in the Hamptons when our parents went on a joint holiday together and brought their newborn babies along. Of course we couldn't even communicate with each other but it's still technically the first time we met. Ever since then we've become inseparable, we're basically sisters. We both have amazing taste in fashion, incredible good looks, amazing status in The Upper East Side, and of course money.

Nicolas De Loughrey. Son of Robert and Mabel De Loughrey. Brother of Zachary De Loughrey. Evie's boyfriend. Prince of Worthington Preparatory. Such a sweetheart. But lowkey psychotic. In a good way of course. We first met at my fathers business party when we were 8. Don't even ask why we were at business party when we were 8, what do you expect? We're rich. I can count on Nic for absolutely anything, after Evie of course. But sometimes it's nice to get a guys opinion on something who's not your brother.

Or arch nemesis.

Which brings me to the next thing in our tight knit friendship group.

Yes I refer to this particular person as a 'thing' rather than a human because he's utterly the worst human being I've ever met.

Sebastian Kingsley. Son of Robert and Anna Kingsley. The actual son of Lucifer, Satan, the God of hell. Brother of James and Sofia Kingsley. Sadly the king of Worthington Preparatory. I've basically known Sebastian as long as I've known Evie. Because our parents are business partners. And childhood best friends. Since I refer to Evie as not only my best friend but my sister, you'd think I'd refer to Sebastian as my brother.

I think the fuck not.

Every single day he finds a new way to taunt me, tease me, bully me in any way. He puts all of his blood, sweat, and tears into making sure I get in trouble at least once a month. Whether it's getting me shit faced at an important business party for my parents, or getting detention, which then leads to more trouble by getting grounded by my parents. But don't think for millisecond that I don't fight back. Because I do. Which once almost got him expelled. But that was totally an accident. On some levels.

Of course our families and friends all think it's just sexual tension. How delusional of them. But enough of Satan. Let's move onto the most important character in this story.

Me.

Alexandra Black. Daughter of Charles and Cordelia Black. Sister of Lucas and Amelia Black. Queen of Worthington Preparatory.

Need I say anymore? I didn't think so.

I felt my eyes fluttering open as the sun came blaring through my window. I rubbed my eyes to try rid my sleepy state.

My last first day of Worthington Preparatory. I need to make a good impression on the freshman so they know who's in charge around here.

I climbed out of bed and hopped into the shower. I find the shower is a nice place to think. To think about life. What sort of person you are, what sort of person you were, what sort of person you want to become. I am officially the queen of Worthing Preparatory. I am in full control of my peers. Of course with a certain Satan ruling next to me as king. Why him? Why does Sebastian have to be king? Wait why am I even thinking about him right now?

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped my white, fluffy towel around me. Staring at myself in the mirror I began to apply some light makeup, which only consisted of concealer, mascara, blush, and lipgloss. After applying my makeup I proceeded to dry and straighten my hair.

I then walked out of my en suite bathroom and towards my walk in closet trying to decide what to wear for my first day of senior year. I decided to wear a light blue mini skirt that matched with my light blue blazer, a white top, white boot heels, and my Louis Vuitton backpack for my school supplies.

As soon as I was ready, I headed downstairs to have my breakfast which consisted of Greek yoghurt, granola, and fruit. As I was starting to make my everyday breakfast my brother came waltzing in the kitchen still wearing his boxers as his girlfriend, Natalia Jefferson, trailed after him wearing his black t-shirt which fell down to her mid thighs. I have them a look of disgust as I knew exactly why they are both dressed like that. Honestly it's disgusting.

"Hello baby sister" Lucas came over to me and ruffled my hair and kissed the top of my head.

"Good morning hoe" I replied with humour laced in my voice. His girlfriend giggled beside him as he snapped his head so fast around I'm surprised he didn't get whiplash.

"Hey don't talk to my girlfriend like that you dick!" He yelled at me.

"I was talking to you asshole" I retorted back at him as he scowled.

"Alexandra Black you are going to be late for your first day of school if you don't get down to the lobby this instant!" My mother, Cordelia Black yelled at me from upstairs.

I looked at the time on my phone and saw that it was 8am. Shit. I have to meet my best friends at the front gate in half an hour and by the time we get through traffic I'll be late.

Oh well. As Julie Andrews says in my all time favourite film, "A queen is never late. Everyone else is just simply early".

"I'm going! Bye guys" I waved goodbye to family as I got in my elevator to go down to the lobby and meet my driver, Jeffery.

Jeffery has been our family driver since my oldest sibling Lucas was born and has recently been acquainted with a new job role. My driver. He's honestly such a sweetheart and hold a very dear spot in my heart. He should feel pleased, not many people have that pleasure.

The elevator binged and the doors opened. I walked out into the lobby with a few of the staff greeting me as I walked towards the front doors. The doorman Clark held the door open for me and I nodded appreciatively. I could see Jeffery waiting for me at the back of the limousine waiting to open my door for me.

"Good morning Miss Black. How are you this morning? Good sleep?" He asked politely.

"Good morning Jeffrey, yes I did have a good sleep thank you and my morning is going great, for now anyway. How are you Jeffrey?" I responded politely. Just because I'm a bitch to most people doesn't mean I'm a bitch to everyone. Like I said, Jeffrey holds a very special place in my heart and has been here all my life.

"I am very well thank you for asking Miss Black. My granddaughters Rosie and Claire just started nursery in London today and my daughter has been sending me pictures of them in their uniforms." He answers my question with a big smile on his face. Jeffrey was originally from London but moved out to New York when he was 25 and decided to settle down with his wife Ellis. They later on had a daughter called Holly but she moved to London with her husband Dominic three years ago.

"Wow have they started nursery already? It feels like just yesterday that you were showing me pictures of Holly holding them both in the hospital" I said with astonishment, because it really did feel like yesterday. Makes you think of how fast time moves.

"Oh don't, Miss Black you'll start me off crying once again this morning. I can't believe this is the last time I'll be driving you to your first of of a new high school year." Jeffrey said with a hint of sadness laced in his voice.

"Oh Jeffrey don't worry, you can't get rid of me that easily" I laughed along with him.

After our conversation we lapsed into a comfortable silence with the radio softly playing in the background, with the sound of horns being sent off through the big city of Manhattan.

Jeffrey silently pulled the limousine up to be front gates of the school where I saw my two best friends Evelyn Rhodes and Nicolas De Loughrey making out against the wall. Don't you just love being the third wheel?

I climbed out of the limousine and waved goodbye and a thank you to Jeffrey as he told me he'll pick me up at 3pm.

I strutted up to the main gates initially gaining my best friends attention.

"Alex! You're here!" My best friend Evie all but screamed in my face as she launched herself at me.

I quickly looked down at her outfit that she had chosen ever so wisely before she launched herself at me, she looked amazing as always, I mean I wouldn't expect anything less from an elite. She wore a white top similar to mine with a brown and beige checkered blazer with a black skirt, and black boot heels, with her black handbag that somehow holds all of her school supplies.

"Evie I saw you two days ago" I deadpanned.

"Yes and that's a whole 48 hours you bitch!"

"I know and I missed you too you hoe" I replied while giggling at her overexcited personality. I turned to my guy best friend Nicolas.

"Hey Nicky, how was Italy?" I asked while giving him a hug.

"It was amazing Al! I mean it was kinda boring not having my two best friends next to me and my beautiful girlfriend, but I mean I survived" he replied as he kissed Evie on the cheek.

Ugh, why did he have to remind of his other best friend?

"So we should probably head in and get to our lockers before-" I was saying to my friends before I was so rudely interrupted.

"What about me sweetheart? Were you going to leave me Black? After everything we've been through? Baby I'm wounded" I heard his obnoxious voice behind me.

I turned around with a scowl set on my face which is permanent whenever I'm around him. Sebastian Kingsley.

He held is hand on his heart in mock hurt with smirk appearing at the corner of his lips.

"Oh I would never dream of it Sebby" I replied sarcastically at him, smiling triumphantly as his smirk falters.

He hates it when I call him Sebby because of his little sister, Sofia when she was 3 couldn't say Sebastian so she called him Sebby instead. So naturally I began calling him it once I learned about his hatred towards the name.

We kept on glaring at each other until Nicolas stood between gaining our attention.

"Guys! Look we don't have time for your hatred at the moment ok? We have 10 minutes to get inside, go to lockers, grab our stuff and get to class, now let's go!" Nicolas clapped his hands at us as he and Evie walked in front of us grabbing Evie's hand and intertwining then together.

Sebastian and I walked faster in order to be along side of them, with Evie and I in the middle, Nicolas on Evie's side, and Sebastian on mine.

As we pushed open the front doors of Worthington Preparatory, all heads, eyes, and body's turned towards us. The Fantastic Four as we like to call ourselves. It's actually quite cringe now that I'm thinking about it but we can up with the name when we were younger and I guess it stuck with us.

I guess I've become more used to the attention as the years have gone on but it still scares me having all these people stare at me. But I would never tell anyone that of course. I held my head high and corrected my posture as I strutted towards my locker down the hall. One of the perks of being the elites is hat we got to choose where our lockers went, so we chose the main hall with two on the left side of the hall and two on the right. The left side held mine and Evie's lockers and the right held Nic's and Seb's.

The blue metal locker slammed closed as I shut it and waited for my friends to see what classes we all had together.

"Evie what class do you have first period?" I asked my best friend.

"Uhh, History. What about you Alex?" She replied with a bright smile.

"Fuck I've got English with Mr Williams. Such a pedophile" I replied with a scowl.

"Al he told you that your outfit was against the dress code, how does that class him as a pedophile?" Nicolas asked whilst laughing at me.

"He shouldn't have been looking at my outfit like that!" I retaliated back at Nicolas who just laughed at me.

"Don't worry Black I've got English with Williams too, I'll protect you" Sebastian cut in, winking at me in the process.

"Fuck off you twat" I rolled my eyes at him as I walked back down the hall towards the English classroom.

I might've caught onto some British slang from Jeffrey and Ellis while they were having one of they're many humouring arguments.

I heard Evie and Nic saying goodbye to me while warning Sebastian to be nice to me.

And they think warning him to be nice to me will actually work.

I feel his arm coming around my shoulder as I looked to left at his very annoyingly handsome face.

"So, you fancy coming over my penthouse later? My siblings won't be home, mom and dad are out on business per usual, so we could chill out and maybe fu-" he fell on the floor as I kneed him in the balls.

"What part of 'fuck off you twat" don't you fucking understand?" I asked him as I watched him suffer.

When he didn't respond I smirked at him and strutted away towards my class as the warning bell went off.

"Oh Sebby don't you know better than to be late on the first day? See you soon sweetheart" I smiled sweetly at him as I twirled around and walked into class.

Welcome to Worthington Preparatory bitches.
