It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

XXXIII | POPSICLES

After Reece got dressed, we went downstairs to join the others, I gasped to see Miles and Landon (especially Miles) basically eating everything in my fridge. Jake and Ronnie were talking on my couch, the same goes for Laurianne and Chase, while Ocean and Zoey were on their phones, sat on the floor.

"What the fuck guys?" I said, groaning as I checked my fridge to see barely any food left.

"Sorry," Miles said with food in his mouth, I cringe when seeing the sight.

"Pass me some," Reece ordered and Landon passed him a waffle he warmed from my microwave.

I glared at Reece as he bit the waffle. "What, I'm hungry," he shrugged, finishing the waffle and grabbing a bottle of water from my fridge.

I rolled my eyes and got out the apple juice from the fridge, which was almost finished, thanks to those two idiots. "Can we start going already?" Ocean groaned as she stood up from the couch to enter the kitchen, she quickly took the waffle Landon was about to bite and shoved it into her mouth.

"What, the actual fuck!" Landon said frowning, now looking at his empty hand. She softly patted his cheeks and his ears turned a shade of light pink.

Okay, am I the only one that's seeing this? Yes? Okay. Ocean left the kitchen and we followed behind her.

"So what're the sitting arrangements?" Ronnie asked as Jake slugged his arm around her shoulder.

"It's simple, me, Ocean, Miles and Landon in one car, Jake, Ronnie, Chase, and Laurianne in one car and Reece and Vi in another car," Zoey told them. Wow, everyone is just giving me nicknames now.

Chase shrugged. "Sounds good," he agreed, I made sure to quickly write my family a note that I'm out with my friends and placed it on the kitchen counter before we all went out of my house, I locked the front door quietly as we stepped out, not wanting to wake my siblings nor my parents.

Everyone got into their respective cars and Reece handed me his car keys to his red Lamborghini.

"Yay," I said immediately running to the driver's seat as he entered the passenger seat. I started the car and it roared to life, I turned on the radio and went through stations as Reece was typing away on his phone.

"I'm hungry," he groaned and I rolled my eyes.

"When we get to the park we'll get some ice cream and it's all your best friends fault, now I have to go food shopping this week," I said. I was trying to compose my anger towards Landon and Miles before I seriously injured them.

"Do you have enough money for food shoppin'?" He asked, from the corner of my eye I saw him looking at me.

I shrugged. "I'll just ask my Dad for some money," I said. I didn't really have the buy a lot anyway.

"I can give you money if you want," he suggested and I chuckled.

"Nah, it's fine Reece, I'm good," I replied and he nodded.

I turned right and continued down the street. Reece was looking out the window, humming to God knows what.

"I didn't know you could sing," I said, I mean, the way he was humming, it did sounds pretty good.

He smirked. "I know," he said.

I playfully rolled my eyes. "What can't you do, and I'm being honest about this question."

He put his index finger on his chin and thought about it. I can't believe he has to think of things he can't do, I can list thousands of things in which I suck at, an example would be how I'm the worst at singing.

"Hmm, to be honest, I don't even know." He shrugged

"Okay...can you do karate?" I asked.

"Yup, I was in a karate class since age six, I'm now a black belt."

"Snowboarding?"

"Yep, when me and my family go to our cabin in Japan, I tend to go snowboardin'."

"Dance?"

"I dance hip pop and break."

"Draw?"

"I can draw you in less than an hour."

"Instruments?"

"I learned to play most instruments by ten, I still have a music teacher."

"Ughh, cook?"

"Of course, you come over and I can make you a six-course meal," he winked at me.

I groaned. "Ugh, are you even human? Come on, tell me something you can't fucking do," I groaned again.

He smirked. "Okay, I can't swim," he shrugged and I looked at him for a quick second before focusing back on the road ahead of me.

"You can't swim?" I questioned and he nodded.

"Nope, when I was seven, I almost drowned in a friend's pool at his house, I vowed to never swim again," he admitted.

I smiled. "Hey, I was on the girls swim team back in middle school, I can teach you how to swim," I offered.

"Nah, I'm good," he answered.

"Please," I whined.

"No."

"Pleaseeee."

"No."

"Pretty please with a cherry on top."

"No."

"With an extra cherry."

"No."

"You'll get to see me in a bikini," I smirked.

"Say the time and place and I'll be there," he said.

"Listen, kid, you're getting on my last nerve, hand over the ball or else," Miles warned.

"No," the kid barked back.

I groaned and rested my head on Reece's chest, this has been going on for the last ten minutes. Miles wanted to play soccer with the boys and asked a boy if he can borrow his ball for only one hour, the kid said no and gave Miles the middle finger.

Personally, he looks around, six so I don't understand how he already knows the finger, but hey, kids are pretty messed up nowadays.

"You selfish little cunt, give me the damn ball!"Miles yelled at the little boy.

"Ugh, Miles just give it up, he isn't going to give it to you," Laurianne groaned in a bored tone.

Miles glared harder at the boy. "Watch your back, brat and I mean it," Miles hissed.

"Shut the fuck up, old man," the boy yelled back at Miles.

"You piece of shit," Miles said as he was about to pounce on the little boy, but Jake and Chase held him back. The boy gave him the middle finger one last time before running to play with the other kids in the park.

"Well, that kid is already fully corrupted," Ocean said and we all nodded in agreement.

"Guys, ice cream is on me," Landon smirked and we all smiled at him, he then looked at Reece. "Man, can I have like thirty bucks?" Landon asked and Reece rolled his eyes.

"So, basically the ice cream is on Reece and not on you," Ronnie frowned and Landon winked at her.

"Yes, baby," he said and Jake gave him the finger.

Reece sighed and pulled out his wallet from his sweats and opened it. "Do you have change for a hundred?" Reece asked.

"Nope," Landon said, taking the hundred from his hand and walking over to the ice cream truck.

"You're not going to get the change back are you?" I giggled and Reece sighed again.

"I never do anyway," he said, once again, rolling his eyes.

"Woah, check out the hot babes," Miles grinned, looking at girls with bum shorts and crop tops.

Ocean snorted. "They look like hookers," she admitted, flipping her hair, causing Laurianne to slightly laugh at her comment as she rested her head on Chase's shoulder by tippy-toeing.

Miles licked his lips and rubbed his palms together. "At least I am in for a treat today," he said, walking towards the girls.

"First, he flirts with his friend's parents and now teenage girls," Zoey said, a little angry.

I raised an eyebrow at her. Again, am I the only one seeing this? So basically everyone in our group are having crushes of their own inside this group.
Would it be weird or cute if all of us in the group were dating someone in the group? There's a possibility that Zoey might not even like Miles, but then again, she might actually do.

"Reece, can I talk to you for a moment," I questioned, I didn't even wait for him to respond as I dragged him away from our friends. "Does Zoey like Miles?" I asked and he started to laugh, really, really laugh.

"Why would you assume that?" He asked, still laughing, I shifted uncomfortably.

"Because she was angry when he went to those group of girls," I stated and he now smirked.

"Nah, she just doesn't like how he plays with girls feelin's. Zoey and Miles have been best friends since elementary school, and no, they don't have feelin's for one another, so don't even try to do Cupid on them," he said, giving me a stern look and I pouted.

"Okay, but Landon likes Ocean," I pointed and he shrugged.

"I know," he admitted.

"Aren't you going to help them get together?" I asked. Reece sighed and rested his hands on my shoulders.

"Ocean doesn't like Landon back, okay, he has more sex than any other guy I have met, well, besides Toby. That wombat is lucky he didn't come to school throughout this week or I swear I would ha--," before he could continue, I cut him off.

"So you were saying about Landon and Ocean," I said, I don't want to be reminded of what Toby did to me, or almost did to me...

Reece cleared his throat. "As I was sayin', yes, he's a manwhore, I love him like a brother, but he really is a manwhore," he admitted. I looked up at the blue sky to think.

"No," Reece said and I looked at him with confusion.

"No to what?" I asked and he scoffed.

"Don't try to set them up either, just let them be," he told me and I groaned.

"But he likes her and he is our friend, we should try to help him," I stated out and Reece sighed.

"If you want to help Landon get Ocean, try to make him not have sex or make out with any girls, which is insanely difficult considerin' he does that basically every day," Reece said and I sighed. Maybe I wasn't cut out for this Cupid thing...

Me and Reece walked back to everyone as Landon handed us each a popsicle, Miles came back with a smile on his face.

"Someone is happy," Zoey smirked. Wasn't she just... you know what, never mind.

Miles smiled proudly. "Yup just scored about eleven girls' numbers," he said.

"Dude, you mind if we share," Landon said and I looked at Reece who looked at me with the 'told you so' face.

I cleared my throat. "Landon, why would you even want any of those girls' numbers?" I said, he raised his eyebrow at me.

"Um, cause they're hot as Hell," he said in a duh tone, I turned to look at Ocean who was texting away on her phone.

"Are you sure you want to do that," I said trying to make Landon follow my gaze to Ocean, but he looked more confused than ever.

"Violetta, are you okay? There's something wrong with your eyes, maybe you should go see an eye doctor or something," Landon told me concerned and I groaned in frustration.

"Oh, forget it," I said, angrily licking my popsicle.
